Is Hisec ganking good for the game?

A demanding enough PVE system can produce the same demand, relative to the level of active players - unlike many other MMOs, etc. you don’t just respawn with all your gear after wiping in a raid and so on.

I don’t see the game holding the same activity level purely on PVE though - most games which try it tend to drop down to around 4K active players for the long haul or drop to very low levels if there isn’t continued investment in new opportunities from the developers i.e. look at The Division.

Yeah I know - just you replied to me even though it was obviously aimed at a wider audience - so I replied to it from my position.

True… Problem is that EVE does not have a demanding PvE system.

Ultimately it has been about the players to generate that level of content and largely it works. Though incursions were somewhat an attempt towards that end.

A few exceptions aside like the incursion Uroborus escalations in C5/6 wormholes were about as good as it got for me - especially if you try and push it to fully escalating all 4 waves at once.

I know of at least one ganker who has/had a thriving industrial side to his play. There may be many more…

It needn’t be an ‘either/or’ thing at all.

Not quite sure the angle you are going with - but you get less from a wreck than it took to build the ship so the equation doesn’t work in the long run.

EDIT: My post wasn’t about either/or it needs to be taken in the context of the post it was a reply to.

Sorry Rroff, I read it back and realised it wasn’t clear.

He built ships and modules, and from what I gather really enjoyed the industrial side of things. He also liked blowing stuff up.

Folks were talking as if PvP and PVE are mutually exclusive as EVE pursuits. I just don’t think they are.

I see I was slightly misunderstanding your original premise - in many ways that is what Eve is encapsulated a means to and end for PVP - but it doesn’t really work unless every PVPer also PVEs to an extent which sustains the circle or someone else does PVE on their behalf.

I slightly misread their original post - but I wasn’t claiming it would be a towards binary kind of thing.

Childish? More like inconvenient facts for you.
Fact: You haven’t played for seven years
Fact: You have barely any ganking experience
Fact: You got rroffed by Aiko

The thing is you won’t accept when you’re wrong. Aiko already proved that  I’m just trynna get on the killmail too

Which I have absolutely no data to back it up besides not playing the game for 7 years or ganking someone for 10. Got it.

Sounds like their problem. Also if you ever undocked or stopped krabbing, you’d know even Uedama isn’t 24/7 camped. Sometimes its hardly camped at all. Also I already solved ganking for them. Ain’t my fault they don’t use it

LOL the only PvE activity that comes close to PvP destruction is abyss. You’d know that if you played

More childish nonsense. You are mostly trying to beat me up over stuff you invented or added to my posts yourself rather than what I actually said - so you are basically **** posting at yourself.

I’m aware of abyssal deadspace - you should read what I actually said and the posts it was in reply to again.

Shame mutaplasmids didn’t exist when I played - that kind of stuff is up my street - can produce some interesting results with them:

FYI… it’s “up my alley”, not “street”.

I’m sorry

Now I’m gonna think you are Canadian.

My family is a melting pot but nationality and origins are two different things. I can’t call a single country ‘home’ and I don’t even want to. I rather think of myself as a Vandal, I have all the required genetic traits to do so.
