It's Time for an EVE Online Hardcore Server

Do you pick flowers on your boomie?

Back with the insults again I see. please disappear to a solo forum far far away.

“Please disappear”?

Why not remove me yourself? If you grief me out of EVE, I’ll surely never dare show my face here again due to the sheer, abject shame. I believe we call that the “Dracvlad Challenge.”

Think about it: you can be the hero that this forum needs right now, though maybe not the one it deserves.

I gotta say though, this would even be more viable with a hardcore server. Imagine wiping out someone’s forum personality just by killing them in-game. Those would be some real consequences.

This is how you convince someone, ladies and gentlemen.

The hardcore server has my approval. :+1::+1:

So one bad DC, one zone reset, one spot of latency - and I’m dead? Sounds like as much fun as doing taxes, or going through a gate camp in an iteron.

If you don’t like it, the safe, AFK-friendly softcore mode will still be available for players who wish to farm boars in the training area forever, without venturing out to see the real game.

Loot table would require overhaul as there are some parts of New Eden that require a fleet of trusted pilots for their own existence in such a Hardcore Mode Server!

<insert obligatory boomer comment here>

EvE players are too weak and scaredy cat.

im pretty sure this will be the next big content release, or some form of this. like you enter this space as a static copy of your capsuleer, and you can only make one copy of a capsuleer in that universe every 50million sp or something. nothing really different about this place except the rewards are massive and risky, and yes you can channel the isk back into the nornal universe effortlessly. but if clone copy dies in the copy universe its dead for good… or until it hits the next 50m skillmark

I do not think we need another server…

But…
Allegedly , we as capsuleers can not see the normal standard non-capsuleer traffic.

So how about a hardcore mode by character not account.
Allow someone the choice of playing a character that is a baseliner(non capsuleer).

Baseliners would not need access to the ISK system we use, instead they would deal with the actual planetary and corporation scripts…cold hard cash.
FW…well a baseliner might have to deal with actual military ranking, not being militia but maybe ship commander of a Faction Navy ship…the base liner character would see us Capsuleers as we are…but a capsuleer character would see a baseliner character as an NPC.

just spitballing here, im sure if anyone added to this idea of mine there could be a lot of things people could try to flesh out on where it could go…

point is …as a baseliner…if you die…well you die. escape pods anyone?

you could have a clone or escape pod but it would be the equivalent of owning a titan

Your idea amounts to developing a wholly different game. My idea is just a smaller server with character loss. My idea is way more likely to actually be considered viable enough to implement. Not a criticism of yours as much as pointing out that we get anything, it’s probably not going to be what you propose.

They would have to rework the entire game to prevent suicide alt scouting becoming the norm, otherwise you’re just going to get a bunch of day 1 thrasher alts podding people for shits and giggles before they could even farm up enough ore and isk for a cruiser.

That’s exactly why I proposed a completely random awakening which could be anywhere in any space, it cuts out the wannabe gate campers etc and might just let you get some isk and a ship together.

Books would have to more readily available maybe and no hubs, and lets face it they would be suicidal to go anywhere near anyway.
