I care more about the mistake not being so easy to make again than the return of my assets for this single incident. Infact, proposing a change at all is about the future and not about my current loss.
okay, then we finally agree (not that it matters to any dev, but itās a good thing to agree)
and assets will still be lost when canceling jobs (and the title of the thread could be adjusted to āhow to avoid job cancellationsā and be moved to the Player Suggestions subsection)
I compromised on a UX improvement, but I still believe that cancellations, specifically within a short window frame should not be so destructive.
If you feel it worthwile to do so, you can pitch your idea to the next CSM rep with a specialty in indy. Chances are it will be Kenneth again, with the level of support that he has.
No I believe, turning this into an extra button suggestion thread is not required, and instead that could be its own thread. Which I will not be the Champion for. I would like to hold my opinion on non-destructive cancellations but I would be happy with a button implementation similar to that of jump clones in the interim because I accept that the āplumpingā is not in place for holding the items consumed state on job start.
Youāre free to try, of course and talking with the relevant CSM rep who can take the idea to CCP is a step you could consider.
Early on I tried to tell you that destructive cancellations are intentional by design. Make of that what you like, and see if CCP has changed its opinion / intention.
Manufacturing in EVE has been this way for 21 years now, and thatās not likely to changeā¦
A lot has changed, reworked and been āreinvigoratedā in those 21 years. So I seriously doubt the game will last another 21 years and have zero attempts to look into industry. It is on us as the customers to convey our interest for change and on them to plan the roadmap / priority compared to user desire. I am stating my interest.
Stop asking for things to be de-risked.
If you get your manufacturing de-risked then I want a protective bubble around my ship that exists the whole time Iām hacking cans and persists for 15 minutes after to give me time to get home.
No ifs or buts, this is what you are asking for.
Something for nothing.
All reward, no risk.
You get socialism while we all get capitalism.
ā ā ā ā ā ā ā no.
you do realise that industrialists take risk right?
- Investment risk, the market can be quite volatile and by the time your queues finish you could be in the red instead of green
- Logistical risk, the material involved does not move itself you know
- Structure Risk, must I explain?
and industrialists also have a higher risk / higher reward spread as well. But I am Pro-risk in all of these cases.
In your imagination did you believe that this was the only risk industrialists took? Do you believe that they all sat around a table and said:
āYou know what, we need more risk for industrialists, lets make the start button and cancel button the same buttonā
You are subject to the same miss-click risk as the rest of us, stop gurning.
The only person gurning is yourself, it appears you have not gotten over your exploration tengu loss and have chosen to vent at others. A miss-click is not the same as a miss-play fyi and you sir missplayed.
Imagine being this lame; you look up someoneās kill board to try to needle them about a ship loss from ages ago because youāre butthurt about being told to stop being butthurt.
So weak
edit: Copy-quoting this in case you delete it later out of embarrassment (I would!)
edit: post duplicated below
Yeah you really canāt see how feeble this post makes you appear can you?
Still not as lame as an explorer coming into an industry conversation to compare everything to his misplays.
And not to mention you hinted your experience in your comments, the killboard just confirmed it.
lets post the km for posterity: Tengu | Akkar Kardashev | Killmail | zKillboard
and since you hinted that you like to delete posts that you later regret, lets post this as well
Go look for a single post Iāve deleted.
You are so whiney itās hilarious.
The irony. My sides are splitting
You literally deleted and reposted even though āEditā exists because you desperately needed me to see it
You are flailing sir.
why are your sides splitting? you read it, its a complete duplication of the post below.
yes I was editing it and when I posted the re-edit it created a new post instead of editing. But if this entertains you then I guess you have given me even more insight into how valuable your opinions or credibility is.
