Now that in-game Chat commands have been disabled, is there a way to bring the old Journal back ? I still have it opened on some clients, but it seems once closed it cannot be brought back. The new Activities tab in Opportunities is missing some if the information , so I still like to use the “old” journal.

Yeah, I liked the old Journal too but I highly doubt CCP will reimplement it…
Mainly because they’ve invested way too much time and resources into moving all that info into the ‘Opportunities’, ‘Agency’, ‘Wallet’ and ‘Contract’ windows…

I prefer the old journal also tbvh, it was quick and easy to use and provided the exact details i needed without having to go through hoops.

Just to add: I am mostly missing the “type” amd “Status” infos from the old journal tab; if those are added to the Active Opportunities tab, I’d be happy to let the old journal R.I.P.
