Just only another Newbro Story

Hello all,

I`m a relatively new capsuleer in New Eden. My Birthday Ingame was the 04/10/2025. I try here to tell my story and maybe someone likes ist or wants to give me some helpful hints.

The Beginning:

I saw a few YouTube videos about EvE online and was fascinated, so I wanted to try the game myself. I was advised to leave the starter corp as quickly as possible and join a training corp. Eve University was mentioned several times for this. So i started the Game, made an Account and Ive joined EvE-University and i can state, this is a awesome corporation and a great community. It helps me a lot and Ive visited the first two classes today already … So for every new pilot: EvE University is the real big deal …

For the moment i`ve finished the Tutorial and do the Career Agents … My plan for the next few Days is to finish them, make the SoE Epic Arc and settle into the Staging of EvE University in Korsiki.

Wait and see what else is waiting for me …

With best regards

Not a bad start. It is what I recommend to folks.

But, it is not the ā€˜only way’, the beach is big and has a lot of room for each to build their sandcastles.

Day 2-5:

Hello all,

a short update from a new capsuleer. Until now Im finishing my career agents (mostly done) and have visited 7 EvE University classes. 5 were live with voice chat and Stream and 2 via YT Videos of recorded classes. The possibility to watch them offline is great, so you have more time and you can even croscheck if something was not understood. I also visited a Q&A for new Players by the Corp Lead. Its still amazing how much i can learn and how much there is to be learned . Hope to start my SoE Epic Arc soon and then went to Korsiki to have the Ability to visit some EvE University fleets. Until then I wish you all the best and

Day 6-8:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. I finished my first set off career Agents. Yeaha !!

After completing these, I entered the EvE University staging system and set up my first jump clone on the EVE-Uni Fortizar. Thankfully, it was free, as I’m more than short on ISK at the moment. I’ve also been exploring the Alliance Discord a bit more. There are a lot of cool deals to discover. For example, someone is offering the first cruiser for newbies like me at a discounted price of 10 million ISK. Of course, I jumped at the offer and can now call myself the proud owner of a Vexor. I still have to take care of the fitting, but one thing at a time. I was also able to snag some station containers for 1 ISK each: Great stuff, so I can finally clear up my mess. I’ve also taken two more classes and checked out the surrounding systems.

What are the plans for the near future? I found a guide about Caldari standing in the Kismeter wiki. The recommendation here is to complete all three sets of Career Agents and earn Standing. That doesn’t sound bad, since 1) I consider the missions solvable, 2) I can put the ISK to good use, and if I can also earn Standing, all the better. So, specifically, I’ve come up with the following order:

Complete all Caldari Career Agents

SoE Epic Arc

Complete Caldari Circle Agents

Complete the Air Career Program…

I don’t know what will happen next, but it’s about time. I’ll definitely have to get to grips with the skill plans and the individual skills, but more on that another time… Until then, I remain a friendly

Day 9-11:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. I finished my second set off career Agents. One more is waiting.

As announced in the last post, I have dealt a little with the topic of skill plans. First, I used the 1 million skill points from the Refer a Friend program to level up Magic 14 to level 4. A tip I read on zeronin.de, which I think makes sense. Additionally, the EvE University has some useful skill plans for new players. In addition to Basic DD Frigate and Basic DD Cruiser, there are core skill plans for the first 30, 60, and 90 days. I was able to complete the first three plans using the remaining free skill points and those I earned through dailies and login rewards. I’m currently on the path to the 60-day plan.

The problem is that you can/want to do so much, but have limited skills, especially at the beginning.

I can tell you a nice story: after I tried to buy the Gas Harvesting skill on the EvE University’s Discord, on the market there, for less than 39 million ISK, another alliance member contacted me and sponsored me the ISK for the skill. It’s a cool thing. Even though I don’t want to be a beggar, I gladly and gratefully accept this help to get started. I was able to use the ISK I earned along the way for a fully equipped gas-venture as an alliance contract. Now all that’s left is to find gas clouds

I think the most important thing next, while the 60- and 90-day skill plan is running and I’m working on the other Agent/SoE arcs, is to consider which direction I want to take first and then develop myself in a targeted manner.

  • Mining
  • Mission Running
  • Abyssal
  • PvP
  • Wormhole
  • etc.

There are a lot of exciting things. I especially find the WH exciting, but also a little spooky.

I think the best thing to do is to keep going like this for now and get advice from more experienced players. I’ll report back…

Until then… all the best to you.

Day 12-15:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. As I reported last time, I’ve already completed two Career Agent Mission Sets. This earned me a bit of ISK and standing. However, I decided to take a short break from the Agents (before starting with number three) and completed some tasks from the Air Career Program. What can I tell you? After 20 Distribution missions, I have a proud Caldari standing of 3.03 and can now accept level 3 missions.

Admittedly, I don’t have a ship for it yet and I wouldn’t know exactly how to do it, but having is always better than needing…

But there’s something even more amazing that happened to me: After logging into the game today, I accidentally noticed that my account balance had changed. It had gone up. Apparently, people are actually reading my little Newbro-diary and have decided to send me an ISK donation. At least, that’s what I gathered from my transaction history. I’ve already thanked both pilots very much via in-game email. Even though the very fact of receiving a donation is unpleasant for me, I’m all the more pleased that there are players who read what I’ve written here and find it entertaining. That’s fantastic news, and I was incredibly happy about it.

I’m wondering how I can return the favor to them both… I’m still a little speechless about it…

After this more than happy news, what’s next? First, I have to fly the ships and mission rewards to Jita. After this small logistical task, I’ll then continue with the Air Career Program and my third set of Career Agents. As soon as that’s finished, I can finally move to Korsiki and start with the SoE Arc. I think that’s more than enough to do for the next few days… As always, I’ll keep you updated… and until then, best wishes

P.S.: As attentive readers may have noticed, I recounted and summarized the first few days of my trip afterward. But now I’m up to date, and my reports will be updated daily.

Day 16-17:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. Great News: I’ve been awarded the title of ā€œStudentā€ by EvE University. It doesn’t sound like much at first, but it opens up a lot of possibilities within the corp. I can now apply for a sponsored set +3 implant and have the opportunity to participate in a skillbook reimbursement program. Naturally, I took advantage of both, and today I was able to master all the hauler skillbooks for the four factions and get them to level 1.

Speaking of skills, I find the long wait to learn new skills quite exhausting. I hope the +3 implants will provide a significant boost. However, I’ve since managed to complete the Basic 1 (Frigates), Basic 2 (Destroyers), and Catch Up Skills (Hauler) plans. The dailies and login rewards have helped a lot. I’m still 8 days short of completing the 60-day program. My problem is more that I still need to figure out what to prioritize and how (mining, PvP, etc.). I just think that specialization brings faster success here… I think I’ll post my thoughts on that in the next few days.

I’m really looking forward to the Epic Arc because, to be honest, the last set and Career Agents are dragging on like chewing gum. Doing the same tasks over and over again is tiring. So it’s time for something new. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.

The last news for today is that I’ve already done a bit of preparation for the upcoming Epic Arc. I treated myself to a Catalyst for 1 million ISK. Friendly fellow players in the EvE Uni are offering it, fitted specifically for the Epic Arc, via a Corp-Contract. The best part is, the ship is already in Arnon, so I just have to fly there in a Corvette. Now that’s what I call service.

Until then, I wish you all a friendly

Day 18-19:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. t’s finally done! I’ve completed all three sets of Caldari Career Agents and now boast a faction standing of 3.64. Now that I’ve transported all the mission rewards and ships to Jita, I was able to head to the EvE University staging system in Korsiki. And tada! I learned something new: how to take screenshots in-game. Attached you can see me in my corvette in front of the EvE University Fortizar.

A new home naturally needs furniture and furnishings. That’s why I’m all the more excited to call a few flightdeck ships my own. Flightdeck ships are ships (usually frigates/destroyers) provided free of charge by the corporation via contract, with which you can participate in fleet activities or try out various content (missions, FW, etc.). So, I’m excited about a Venture so I can go mining with the alliance soon (the hunger for ISK somehow never ends…)

But before that happens, there’s one more important item on my agenda: the SoE Epic Arc. So, off to Arnon in my Corvette, and as you can see in the following picture, I’m sitting in my Epic Arc Catalyst (I reported on it last time) in Arnon.

In summary, I’ve made significant progress toward achieving my predescribed goals. The 3 Sets of the Career Agents are complete, I’m on the Epic Arc. My skill queue has shrunk from 127d to 109d thanks to the +3 implants, and I’ve earned a few ISK. So far, so good… Let’s see what the arc has in store for me… As always, I’ll report back. Until then.

Day 20-26:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. First of all, I apologize for the long delay in my next update. Unfortunately, my computer broke down last weekend, and I had to get a new one and set it up. Apple products do have delivery times, after all. But now, with a modern computer, I can get back to work, and I’m happy with the improved performance, especially when gaming.

What’s been happening with me in EVE lately? I’ve successfully completed the SoE Epic Arc and now have a Caldari standing of 4.2. Now that’s what I call progress! I also flew to Korsiki via Jita and can now participate in the activities and fleets of EVE University on-site. I think that will give my learning a significant boost.

What’s next on my agenda? First, I’ll continue working through my initial agenda, which now includes the Circle Agents (for a bit more standing) and completing the Air Career Program. After that, I’ll need to figure out how to farm some ISK. Constantly running out of money isn’t fun. Perhaps someone has a good tip for me?

It’s also great that I’ve progressed so far in my skill training that I can now properly sit in a T1 mining barge. I got it for an incredibly low price of 50% of the current Jita price through a contract with my alliance. EVE Universe offers up to five of these mining barges to a newcomer at these favorable conditions — basically as seed funding. Combined with the buyback program, I can and will do some mining. Just chilling in the game and earning ISK. I’m excited to see how it goes.

But there are a few questions I’ll have to answer for myself now.

1.) What are my further goals after completing the Air Career Program?

2.) Which skills are important for this, and how can I optimize my training? (Currently, my queue is 179 days long.)

3.) How can I efficiently earn the necessary ISK to acquire the required ships and equipment?

One thing is for sure… I want to learn PvP, since everything in EVE seems to revolve around it, and I don’t want to be a victim in the long run. Whether PvP will then become my main focus remains to be seen (I doubt it, but we’ll see).

As always, I’ll report back. Until then.

I dont know your TimeZone, but the in Eve Uni, weekend is good for fleets to join, ISK can be made and AIR goals crossed off by attending fleets where you have strength in numbers, get on the discord and look at the Discord Events.

AIR can be hard to finish all at once, you have to actually fleet up in different roles for many of them, so its just good to try and get involved in regular weekly fleets to cross them all off gradually.

Keep skilling up and then trying to find reasons to buy and fly new ships in fleets, like be a logi pilot, i found our weekend mining fleets were useful to get some ISK (missions dont cut it for me). You can look at the EUNI Skill Plans inside the game client:

Have fun! o7

Day 27-30:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. What’s been happening these past few days? First off, I have to report that I’ve received a lot of positive feedback on this little blog. Of course, I’m delighted and grateful for all the good advice and other support.

I’ve also made some progress towards my goals. I’ve completed the Circle missions for Caldari and am now happy with my faction standing of 4.27. (Faction)

At least alleviate my persistent ISK problem, I received a tip to participate in the mining fleets of the EVE University. As I’ve already mentioned, thanks to the Half-Price Barge Program, I can proudly call myself the owner of a T1 Procurer (yes, safety first!). So, I’m on my Procurer in the Belt

I am now the proud owner of 40 million ISK in stones… Well, that’s the estimated price… but every little bit helps.

What else has happened? Since I’ve determined that a solid foundation in PvP is essential in EVE, I’ve already installed a jump clone in Isbrabata VIII (home of the EVE University lowsec community) as a precaution. Having it is better than needing it, and I think I’ll be able to learn a lot about PvP there in the future. First, though, I’ll stay in Korsiki to attend some teaching classes and participate in some of the fleets offered. One step at a time.

What are my specific goals for the near future? As always, farming ISK and leveling up my Skills, but I’ve also decided to continue working on the last item on my initial list: completing all the tasks (yes, really all of them) in the Air Career Program. I’ll of course keep you updated on each step here…

Otherwise, there’s not much more to say except to wish you a pleasant evening and a friendly…

Quick update: On the subject of lessons learned …

Today I was scanning signatures for my daily tasks again and found a wormhole. So I bookmarked it, went in, and, as I’d read/learned, saved the exit as well. Inside this wormhole, I found two data sites and one relic site, and in just under 25 minutes, I was 15 million ISK richer in loot. (And only one can exploded!)

Not bad for a start, I thought. I’d been spamming the D-Scan and paying attention, well, what can I say: back to the exit to secure the loot.

But then, I arrived back at my bookmark, happy and satisfied, only to find the wormhole was gone… I should have paid attention to the lifespan. I was lucky enough to scan another High Sec Exit, but this one led deep into the Amarr space. A whopping 55 jumps to Korsiki! That really dragged down my ISK/h stats, but I’d say… another lesson learned: always keep an eye on a wormhole’s lifespan.

I hope this story amuses/enjoys some of you…

Wishing you all the best…

Day 31:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. As you already know from my Day 6-8 post, I set myself some tasks at the beginning of my journey in EVE that needed to be completed. Specifically, these were the following:

  1. Complete all Caldari Career Agents (All 3 Stes of 5 Agents) Status: Complete

  2. SoE Epic Arc Status: Complete

  3. Complete Caldari Circle Agents Status: Complete

  4. Complete the Air Career Program Status: In Progress

I got these tasks and sequence from the Kismeter Wicki (Wiki Circa Kismeteer's Guide - Newbie) and the Wicki of the EvE University (Getting Started in EVE Online - EVE University Wiki).

Now that I’ve successfully completed the first tasks, I’m ready to finish the Air Career Program. Fortunately, several tasks have already been completed through my previous actions, so I don’t have to start from scratch.

So the first Career Path i will finish is the ā€œIndustrialistā€. Fortunately, almost all tasks are already completed. There are still 20 Mining Agent missions to finish, of which 3 have already been completed. So I’ll get into my Venture/Procurer and find a Level 1 Mining Agent.

I do have a few questions about this, though:

1.) Venture or Procurer?

2.) Which corporation should the agent be from? School, Sisters of Eve, or Lai Dai?

3.) Level 1 missions or should I go straight to Level 2 or 3?

I find it fascinating how such a simple task immediately presents a new player like me with questions I can’t answer on my own.

As usual, I will report on my progress and also share some of the answers I receive here with you.

Until then, I remain a friendly

Day 32-38:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much time to play last week, but I still want to tell you about my progress.

First, I completed the remaining missions for the ā€œIndustrialistā€. I had a few questions, and here are the answers I received:

1.) Venture or Procurer?
Venture, she is simply faster and more mobile, even in the Belt. Plus, it’s not such a big deal if it gets lost.

2.) Which corporation should the agent be from? School, Sisters of Eve, or Lai Dai?
The easiest to reach (Level 1 missions are not so relevant for standings and LP). For me it was the Hyasyoda Corporation.

3.) Level 1 missions or should I go straight to Level 2 or 3?
Level 1 missions are simply quicker to complete, and security missions give more standing and LP. So don’t waste too much time on them.

Next up is the ā€œEnforcerā€. I still have 4 areas to finish here:

1.) Loyalty Points: Spend 300 LP
That`s easy, i have only to use the LP i earned for the Hyasyoda Corporation

2.) Earn 5.000.000 ISK in Bounties
I`m at 3,9 Mio at the moment …

3.) Complete 25 Combat Sites
I`ve done 3 so far …

4.) All the Abysall Tasks
I think here exists a EvE-Uni Class and some Fleets. I will have a look at …

I’ve been playing for 5 weeks now, and I think it’s a good time for an interim assessment:

Skillpoints:
Currently, I have 6,134 million skill points, 227,000 of which are freely available.
Skillplans:
I have completed the following skill plans: Basic 1 - Frigate, Basic 2 - Cruiser, Catch up Skills, Core 30/60/90 day Skillplan, Abyss Starter Kestrel and Punisher, LSC Starting Skillplan, Minimum Burst T1 Logi and all the certified CCP Skillplans. Not bad at all? What do you think?
Standings:
My current Caldari Faction Standing is +4.32, while with the Guristas it’s -5.23. Let’s see how long it takes me to reach 5.0…
Wallet:
My current net worth appears to be 347 million ISK (estimated). However, I still need to sell quite a bit to reach that figure. I also need to familiarize myself with the market and understand how it works.

What else is there to report?

This week seems to be overshadowed by the events in 0.0 (Pandemic Horde vs. My little story about what I understood about Goonswarm). As a new player, I don’t understand a lot of it, but one thing is certain: I’m currently glad to be in HS and not in 0.0. At least there’s plenty to read/watch on Reddit and YouTube. Unfortunately, very little that explains the background…

Further plans?:

As mentioned before, I will complete the ā€œEnforcerā€ tasks and try to increase my ISK. One goal is to own a Gila and an Exhumer. That will cost me a fortune; it can cost 1 billion ISK. So, still a long way to go. My skill queue still contains 173d, or the equivalent of 8.675 million SP.

As usual, I will report on my progress, Until then, I remain a friendly

Day 39-46:

Hello all,

another short (weekly) update from a new capsuleer. Personal i was on vacation last week, but I still have made some progress.

I completed the ā€œEnforcerā€ tasks and during that i learned a lot : First and foremost, I tackled the combat anomalies. My biggest problem was finding them. No, seriously, the region around Korsiki is densely populated, and many signatures were already gone or occupied by other players when I arrived. Nevertheless, my Vexor served me well, and I successfully learned how to use salvage drones. As a reward and for a bit more convenience, I treated myself to an MTU. All in all, a little more ISK in my account, an MTU on board, and another task completed.

The second series consisted of tasks related to the Abyss. I first attended an EVE-University class on the topic. The cool thing is, it’s now available in German too  Additionally, there are a number of very informative articles in the Eve-University Wiki. https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Abyssal_Deadspace I also found a good website with skill plans, fittings, and how-to guides. https://caldarijoans.streamlit.app/

I think it’s great that the EVE-Uni gives out free T0 Abyss-fitted ships (Kestrel, Punisher, Rifter and Tristan, 1 Dark and 3 Electrical).

So I was able to start without any problems and even survived and successfully completed all my 10*T0 attempts. The only thing I ran out of was filaments. A friendly corp member, after I asked in the corp chat if anyone could sell me some, simply brought me some from Jita, and even for free. A huge thank you again for that!

In general, I have to say that there are a lot of incredibly helpful people in the EvE-University, and you can always get help or an answer quickly in the chat or on Discord.

While farming combat anomalies, I received a mission about an escalation. Naturally, I had no idea what that was at first. But when I asked, someone quickly explained it to me, and I even found a nice person to fly it with. I even got to keep the loot. What’s remarkable is that we had to fly from Korsiki to Lor (through Abhazon). That someone would just take the risk of flying through there for an unknown newbie… Respect !!!

What’s next? The ā€œExplorerā€ series. I only need to complete two task sets. I have to have visited five LS and five NS regions and hacked 20 containers in each … (Wormhole and HS is already done)

I’m afraid this will take longer. My plan is to use Needlejack filaments and get a Buzzard (for warping in Cov-Ops). For that, I need some skill training and the ship itself.

So if anyone wants to sell a Buzzard cheaply, don’t hesitate to send me an in-game message

In conclusion, my ISK balance has changed little, but my assets have climbed slightly. I haven’t yet been able to address the market and selling issues.

As usual, I will report on my progress, Until then, I remain a friendly

Thanatos Mindreaper

Day 47-51:

Hello all,

another short (almost weekly) update from a new capsuleer. A lot has happened in the last few days, so let’s get right to it:

First up was the new Catalyst expansion, and with it the new mining arc ā€œFractured Legacy.ā€ So I headed to Kisogo and not only received 1 skill, 1 BPC, and the new Pioneer, but also 8.5 million ISK. Very pleasing considering the arc isn’t difficult.

Next, I faced the problem of completing my remaining ā€œExplorerā€ tasks. I did some research and came to the conclusion that a Cov-Ops frigate (in my case, a Buzzard) would be the right tool for the job. So, I searched for a Buzzard in the Alliance Discord (in the marketplace channel), and guess what? A kind fellow player gave me one from his hangar in Korsiki. Many thanks to him!! All I had to do was get it fitted… That’s when I realized I was still short on 3D skill time… So, a little more waiting, and then I can warp cloaked, which is pretty nice

So I headed out into the wormhole in my cloaky Heron and successfully scanned several sites and looted the canisters. The cool thing is, I found a connection to a quiet LS system where I could do 5 data and relic sites. So I’ve already finished the LS section, and best of all, I made it back to Korsiki alive. A successful evening for 2.5 hours of gameplay.

The last part of the task, which involved visiting five systems in nullsec and hacking 20 containers, didn’t go quite as planned. Despite scanning extensively in the wormhole, I simply couldn’t find a nullsec access point. It was always the case when I needed one. So, I did some research on filament logistics and also asked around in the corp chat. The plan: use Needlejack filament to get into nullsec and Pochen filament to get out. So, I went to Jita, bought five filaments each, found a quiet corner, and opened the first filament.

That worked perfectly, straight into nullsec, thus completing the task of visiting 5 different systems and even finding a data site in a secondary system. Since there were occasional visitors in the system, I used prototype cloaking to simulate death in case of an intrusion and simply waited. So far, so good; now it was back to high-security space. Using a filament, I entered Pochven (my first time there, and I discovered that Pochven, like the WH, doesn’t have a local). However, the signatures I scanned all seemed too threatening, so I decided to skip the sites, wait the 15-minute timer and jump directly back to high-security space.

Unfortunately, that’s when the real misery began: I suddenly found myself in Lowsec, Tama 1 Jump Out… You can imagine the rest. I’m now one big experience and 10 Killrights richer, but I paid for them with my Hreon, the hacking loot, and my +3 implant set. So, all in all, a loss of almost 60 million ISK for completing the last Explorer missions. A tough lesson, I think.

I’ve been thinking about how I could have avoided this mess and I’ve come up with the following:

  1. I could have simply tried logging out on a midsafe.

  2. Wait until at least EVE Gatecheck shows that the path is clear. https://eve-gatecheck.space/eve/

  3. Study Dotlan and determine that the better way would have been via Hysera, rather than directly jumping to Nourvukaiken. https://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/The_Citadel/Tama

What do you think? Do you have any further tips on this topic, or have I found everything I need? I would appreciate any suggestions.

So I woke up in Jita and at least learned how to make kill rights publicly available… Be that as it may… Still a hard blow for my wallet.

What’s next? The ā€œSoldier of Fortune" series. I’m missing almost all missions here, except for Social and Combat. So I’ll try to find some help at the EVE University and, above all, familiarize myself with the Faction War topic.

As usual, I will report on my progress, Until then, I remain a friendly

Day 51-80:

Hello all,

another short update from a new capsuleer. It’s been quite a while since my last post. The reason is that I’m stuck on the final tasks of the Air Career Program. There’s a bug in the game that even CCP hasn’t fixed yet. I’m not getting the achievement for joining the FW. This is incredibly frustrating, as these are the last tasks I need to complete.

Unfortunately, the GMs couldn’t help me either, and I received a frustrating answer:

Thanks for taking the time to contact the Player Experience Team.

Unfortunately, the GM team can not edit or manipulate the progress tracking of AIR Careeer Program milestones. It would be a great help if you could file a bug report on this matter in case our developers need more information about it. Most of the developers have no access to the ticket system and use a separate system to track and address bug reports. Also bug reports submitted in-game provide much more detailed logs about the issue and are more insightful to the developers. If possible, please reproduce the bug before sending the bug report to ensure our developers have the most detailed information to work with.

I reported the bug as requested, unfortunately without success so far. In conclusion, my efforts to complete 100% of the Air Career Program are currently on hold, as it is not feasible.

The only real progress I’ve made during this time has been SP from completing dailies and a little bit of progression in my skill queue. The question I’m asking myself now is, what’s next? What should I set myself? I’ve realized that for me to enjoy the game, I need concrete tasks or goals:

For example…

  1. Earn 10 Billion ISK
  2. Get Standing with XYZ to 6,67
  3. Get 10 Solo-Kills
  4. Build Ship XYZ by my own
  5. …

So, if anyone has any good goals for a beginner… goals they should choose after the tutorial, starter agents, and a nearly completed ACP and SOE arc… please share them in the comments… I would really appreciate hearing other people’s opinions here…

Until this is decided, my daily routine will likely consist of dailies, a little high-sec mining, and looking for a place to live after finishing the EvE-University. (Far in the Future  )

Therefore, I look forward to your feedback and remain, as always, friendly

(I love reading this blog btw, please keep it up!)

I would personally suggest getting involved in some group activities. You’ve made great progress in solo stuff - exploration, abyssals etc. But in my opinion the best thing about EVE is the people. Doing stuff as a group means you learn by osmosis, just picking up on what other people are talking about, the questions they are asking. You also get to know your fellow EVE nerds <3

So if you’d like a list of challenges from me:

  1. (Basic) Go on a Homefront fleet - there are loads in EVE Uni, check the Events tab in Discord
  2. (Basic) Go on a mining fleet - there’s a moon mining calendar pinned in #ping-mining, you can use the mining ships you already have, and fleet will have a booster which will mean you mine more efficiently
  3. (Basic) Go on a PVP fleet - I run an Intro to PVP fleets class every other week which can help prepare you if you’re wanting an easy introduction
  4. (Basic) Join a missions fleet - we have Sunday Gunday which is a group that runs level 4 missions together every week
  5. (Basic) Join the LSC, based in Isbrabata - they do lots of Faction Warfare, group PVP etc. Hop into Standing Fleet
  6. (More advanced) Go on an NPSI fleet - you can find them through the calendar here: NPSI Calendar - NPSI Community Gateway - I recommend the EVE Rookies ones on Wednesdays, they are super new player friendly
  7. (More advanced) Do an incursion fleet - there are roles that new members can do, ask in the Discord channel #incusions-general and they will help you out

I’d love to see how you get on!
