Hi,
please keep the original module layout when sharing a fitting via chat or copying it to the clipboard.
Was this always like that or is it only a problem on MacOS? It seems to just randomly sort the modules after sharing? Is there some workaround?
Best regards
What do you mean, module layout?
Do you mean this module layout?
Or this one?
The first one is always kept the same when you share fittings via chat or copying it to the clipboard and it should be kept the same because the order of the modules matters for heat management.
The second one isn’t defined by the ship fitting, just by however the pilot drags the buttons around. This one isn’t kept when you share it with someone else.

The first one.
I start with this saved fitting:
Then I share the fitting via chat and it looks like that:
In this case only the middle slots (afterburner and shield hardeners) were moved, but it also happens to rigs, lower and upper slots.
I also tried copying again, that seems to be working now. No clue why it didn’t work yesterday. At least a workaround.
Can I expand on this by saying keep module layout as part of the fitting (regardless of sharing)
That would be a good QoL fix

Oh that’s strange.
And annoying, the layout is pretty important when you overheat.
