Keynote Chat

These concepts are promises of future delivery and players are expecting them in the next patch. Like how Apple announces something at a keynote, and it’s available to order that day.

They all copy Apple presentations with big words and numbers on slides, but don’t deliver like Apple.

soooo walking in stations and dust 514 soon? haha

Was that a typo or a deliberate reference to “Keynote not having new content”? Maybe an unintentional freudian slip of sorts? :upside_down_face:

You are under the assumption you will be able to turn it off. :stuck_out_tongue: Even if eventually you will be like with the red dots it might take quite some time for that to happen… if ever. :no_mouth:

Absolutely nothing in this so far that makes me consider continuing to sub any of my chars… I would like to say I am disappointed - but really, I am unsurprised. the only interest the company has now is to make money for their overlords with as little actual effort and no real exciting content at this time

Only thing that was meta in the keynote was the good old days xd.

Well if you run a jf or a rorq then alts are required

Fleets yes, alts no.

Eve is a fleet/corp focused game, not solo, however I would like to see more a soloable game without alts. That’s the problem.

So they milk your wallet due to a game not interested in solo. It is out of touch with the customer, they want more solo so they buy alts.

Should complain about game design, not the cost, you pay more to solo in a non-solo game.

That is the pain and cost you chose.

Imo it’s too late now for CCP to make it more soloable with one account, they need the cash flow from multi-accounting so it’s their deathglide to 0.

To be fair, I didn’t have any expectations, well maybe a small spark of hope that CCP had realized at the final moment where they had gone wrong over the last few years and would now reach out a hand to the players to try and breathe new life into New Eden together.

After the presentation, that hope was extinguished. CCP is confidently walking down the path they have chosen, believing their decisions to be correct (although reality, especially the exodus of players, says otherwise).

I already experienced the identical scenario once in another MMO game. A game that no longer exists today. I am sad to see the story play out again, because I already know how it will end, and I will again come looking for a new, interesting universe to spend my time in. And yet New Eden has so much potential, this game is truly unique… it’s a real shame that people like Hilmar fail to manage it.

In any case, Fanfest has finally solidified my decision that after my Omega expires - there will be no more payments for this game from my side. I will remain an Alpha, as I began my adventure with EVE Online as an Alpha, and I will manage to have some more fun before we all have to say goodbye to this game.

Unless a miracle happens and CCP really gets their crap together and gives a good reason to pay for Omega again.

Like the unified charging mat that caught fire and was never released. Or those FaceTime features that still don’t work.

Or the keyboards that were broken for years and then just quietly replaced without acknowledging anything was wrong. I mean that sounds comparable to faction warfare to me :stuck_out_tongue:

Apple arnt so different if you interrogate what actually happens and how many of the os features don’t work as intended or are delayed into the next release. The just have better PR……… and less forum trolls

Sure, but haven’t you noticed that all big keynote presentations follow the Apple style of one liner slides? Even CCP did it with their numbers.

Yes. But so what. It’s a successful presentation style.

But framing like you did as “apple always delivers” and “CCP never will” is just anti CCP bias because apple frequently doesn’t deliver and frequently gets things wrong. Just like CCP. Just like any company

Rotary or big button?

Filofax optional?

Can be smol ones?

lets be fair CCP paragon did say biggest content update ever , and we know thats going to be faction Warfare (polishing a shiney turd ) .

eye candy graphics ( everyone owns 3090ti’s right ) i feel for the potato mode players .

there are plenty of core things broken in eve , mind numbingly boring pve agent missions , even CCP Convict tried them and said " yeah this is kinda boring it needs fixing " on a ccp stream he was doing.
Cosmic agents that should help fix your standings but half way through, an agent tells you they cant help becasue your standings are to low . both of these things ccp has said are broken/old and need fixing but alas they will still be broken/old and outdated .
oh hey we helped new players , we taught them to mine ( mining got nerfed dont forget) , they make more money average wallet is 900k lol . lets not forget that industry was nerfed to hell , so new players now have to pay even more for a ship .

and then they want a pat on the back for the most amazing biggest content release ever … oh wait thats atleast 6 months away … and dont forget the " Wait Tll Fanfest " what fanfest ? 2028 ?

Looks like you’re excited.

CCP I have a question and this is not a joke but I would really like to know:
Why don’t you just make a new server?

The whole FanFast is 100% about one thing: new players.
50% of the presentations are about NPE, your character progression and NPE team is well over 30 people. Graphic updates are nice but also mainly something that get the attention of new players.
All the changes of the last years, which are more than unpopular, have now been justified with “it’s better for new players now”.
Also the announced for Faktion Warfare changes is also about introducing new players to pvp but mainly that these players take part in scripted events and not the stories that have been immortalised in the history books by Andrew Groen - becouse its easyer.
The price increase again hits mainly the veterans, who usually have far more than one account.

To me it looks as if you CCP don’t care at all what the ones who wrote the records for your game think, feel or whether to continue to play or not. It almost seems like you want your long time players to disappear (until this FanFast I always saw this as a joke but it seems to be true).

So if you only want new players and everything old is bad, pls tell us this!
Make a new server and whoever wants can start from scratch, because how things are, how you comunitace and you especially treat the veterans is just sad and shameful for what EVE once stood for.

Maybe @CCP_Swift can say something about this, as someone who at least communicates with the community from time to time.
