Does anyone know about how the Laid Dai add was created (2 dancers with light dots on their bodies)
I’m looking for such a technology for a dance company.

It is called motion capture.

Like Xeux said, it’s motion capturing. Depending on what precision of motion you need, motion capturing can be done with Kinect + specialized mocap software (great for semi-professional use where details are not that important… might work in your dance studio case) up to complex setups costing 10s of thousands of $$$ (movie and 3D animation industry).
Its also pronounced “Laddie”
you can use rotoscope for cheap ass motion capture stuff
just record some footage
separate frame by frame on a free editor and drawn on top
its a nice technique
