Meh I don’t care if people go afk, the rules allow it; it’s a bad choice for them, because people who go afk are a meatshield for those of us that don’t.
TL;DR Choices have consequences in Eve, learn from the bad ones.

AFK mining is a very risky manuever when it comes to Eve.
Still that does not mean what Code is doing is right.

It doesn’t make what they’re doing wrong either, the rules of the game allow them to do so. Legality doesn’t apply because of it; suspect and criminal flags are purely there for game-play purposes; as is Concord in a sense.
Morally it’s a yes no situation and both apply.
In a modern civilised society it’s both illegal and morally wrong; however moral standards are a product of the environment.
Eve is not a modern civilised society, it’s far more akin to medieval Europe, but with spaceships; complete with the moral standards of the era. Eve’s reputation as “not for everyone” is well earned.
Be prepared to defend your stuff, you may lose it sometimes, you will lose it if you don’t and somebody decides to take it.
TL;DR Eve really is Everybody vs Everybody, you are free to make friends and foes, you are to do as you please within the rules; but, and it’s a big but for many, so is everybody else.

They’ve decided to roleplay a bunch of highsec bandits and highwaymen, picking on the weak and spineless. Can you really blame then when the weak and spineless make themselves vulnerable?

Man, at least learn what you are yapping about before you post. You can find about 100,000 CODE posts in this forum, every single one emphasizing that CODE is the rightful government of high sec, and CODE agents are enforcing the laws of New Halaima. The only time we roleplay as villains is on Wednesday nights when we play as Second Life vampires and search for traps in Princess Aiko’s BDSM Castle.

That (Wednesday night) roleplay is horrifyingly specific… and vague at the same time.
I don’t see it as weird, but I do see it as roleplay. And I bought into it.
EVE would be boring without the criminal cartels, protection rackets and pirates.

I can help people make a lot of isk in eve, but that knowledge costs you 50m isk.

@Iceacid_Frostpacker It’s just a bunch of RP crap, definitely not endorsed by CCP. CODE members use botting as an excuse to justify their attacks on easy targets. They only do it in High Sec space because that’s where they have the best chance for a successful kill.
I’ve been a member of these forums since 2008 and I’ve never seen any ‘Election’ threads posted. Please post a link to validate your statement. If not then as usual you’re just spouting a bunch of BS.

I’ll tell you the secret of the Code. Every good pilot already follows it. No matter where he lives. Bad pilots violate it inevitably. The permit is your way of signaling that you possess the right philosophy to succeed at EVE. It all comes down to whether you are willing to be responsible for remaining aware of your surroundings.

Gankers and miners are neither races nor religions, so ancient Earth Nazi comparisons are entirely inappropriate. Gankers are a representatives of the dwindling class of players who are willing to PvP in a PvP game. We seek to spread our message so that miners will not be able to plausibly claim ignorance when they get blown up.
