No, hey… Don’t mention it. I only do for others what I’d like others do for me. We’re all Human and prone to mistakes. Important thing is we learn from mistakes and move on with more knowledge. We also all can have bad days and I have a feeling you’re having a bad day today. Relax. Enjoy your time in EVE and take it easy.
I notice you’re Minmatar like me and also new player. I’m in Hadaugago and fly around Eystur, Lustrevik, Pator, Hek… Let’s fleet together and do some missions, be each other’s eyes and ears, we’ll have lots of fun!

Fair dos. Well at least they know about EvE Appraisal now too.

Nooo

Look at those prices. You can afford a 100 Catalyst for as much as you mention.
I bought 10 Catalysts and modules when I got Omega+PLEX. I will give you a few fully fitted when we fleet together ( if you want to ), OK?

I am having bad day. Had a bad week, too. In fact I had a bad month. Our town got flooded and I lost most my stuff in water. Thank God I had savings to buy necessities and another PC. I’m living at my brother’s until further notice, meaning until insurance deigns unblock money.

Ok, let’s. I send you message in the game, I’m online now.

Ok. I bought a Thorax thinking I was going to use it soon but I understand now I’m not even nearly ready to use it. I give it to you for being so nice to me. I won’t need any Thorax until a few months if that.
I come to join you in Hadaugago.
Where is your home station?

You have message in game
And keep your Thorax, have fun with it, get blown up in it or something, lol.

Yes, since people don’t want increased competition in their ISK making activities, they tell newbross to go for the worse thing available.
The thing is, figuring out what are the good ways to make isk is also part of the game. While there is plenty of basic advice on many of those activities, no one in their right mind will disclose the trade secrets that keep then ahead of the competition.

Eve has that?!!

Sorry, I had Hecate’s prices in mind. dum-didi-dum…

Don’t sweat it. Eve is very different from other games, so we understand that players have different expectations when they come here.

We used to say: Forget everything you know about other MMO’s. Eve is not other MMO’s.

In addition to those Blue mentioned, there are newbie friendly fleets like redemption road that will supply ships and teach you how fleets run and hunt.

Well…of course I can only speak for myself…but, yeah…that’s my thought…no obfuscation…it’s dying…or morphing further into something I personally have little interest in participating in…

I will always remember fondly the many good times I had in New Eden, though…

The beginning of the long slope downward:

…and the continuing saga:

Consider…we just had a major “war” in New Eden…yet it just kind of fizzled out…kind of weird ending… Now folks can get back to making that big Purple Donut™ and marching TQ to Serenity’s fate! Woo!

I checked out Echoes…mmm - yeah, no thanks…imo that’s pretty much the direction PA seems to want to take their IP… I’ve kind of thought PA’s real purpose in buying ccp was to gain existing permissions to try and tap into the potentially highly lucrative Chinese smartphone-game market and they don’t really care about EvE long-term so much. Obviously there has been a big unforeseen issue delaying things, if indeed that is PA’s intent, but they still might stand to make a whole lot of real ISK with such a move. So it’s a clever gamble on their part, but I’m afraid EvE might be a casualty. Oh well…Que Sera Sera.

Yes, I have finally succumbed to the bitter (you don’t know the power of the Bitterside!). Remaining few accounts plexed up for a year, so I’ll just settle in for the ride and see what happens… yee haaw

Thank you for forgive. I’m having hard time this year. I yelled at police yesterday because they didn’t want to let me into my home to take more things out and they hit me. I they left bruises on my arms and legs. I’m sorry I’m emotional now and not thinking right.

EVE is my first MMO. I only played single player until EVE.
Thank you.

Thank you for let me know of that. I have to wait a while before I join a corporation, it’s not good time for me now and I would only fly off the handle fast at slightest wry word so I have to wait until I feel better, I am looking up corporations and seeing what they all about before I commit.
Thank you so much.

Redemption road does not demand that you join anything. It is a public fleet.

Oh well that will work! I’ll certainly do that then.

On the surface what you are saying makes sense, but it’s not really correct. I can take a 8-10m isk Thrasher into a place like Stain in nullsec and kill Sanshas battle ships for about 1.8m isk each and that doesn’t include loot. If I do this with a cruiser it happens faster and I make more quicker. When I discovered this it suddenly dawned on me why some of my battleships with what I thought of as expensive fits at the time could die to a single frigate. It wasn’t that my ship wasn’t stronger than theirs, it was, they just knew what they were doing and I didn’t.
At one point I had the same idea as you about this, I was wrong and the result was me training into tech III cruisers and getting my self a Loki, then if had to fit it and suddenly I had the most expensive ship I had ever flown, not by a little, but a huge amount. I figured this ship would be great for going and hunting sleepers in wormholes and all sorts of stuff and that anyone who came along with the idea of shooting me was in a lot of trouble. The system I built her in was highsec 0.8 if I remember correctly and the first thing I did was undock, look for anomalies and off I went to attack a site I can kill in a frigate.
I almost lost my Loki, I was simply unqualified to be flying that ship. I can do more with a tech I fitted Sunesis than I can with a tech III cruiser. It’s got nothing whatsoever to do with the cost of the ship and everything to do with knowing how to fly it. Once you do get really good at a particular ship you can and maybe should start adding fancier modules to it, but you don’t always need to.
I’m pretty good at flying a Praxis but I have a friend who could kill my Praxis in her Corvette if she set her mind on doing so simply because she’s a far better pilot than I am.
And that last bit leads me to another misconception I had for way to long: that there is no way a new player can ever hope to catch up to a veteran. They can, first they need to learn how, how to fly their ships, what to do, what not to do and understand why. Once they do that they are now on more equal footing with the veteran, but there’s still skill training right? Yes… But skills only go up to five. That’s it. Eve is not a short game, you don’t have to rush into the biggest most badass thing in space, and in fact that’s a great way to die while becoming someone else’s loot.

I kept reading after I sent that last reply. Good for you for yelling at the cops. Also you seem to have found some good people, this is exactly why Eve is fantastic so will add a friend of mine since she’s great fun and is right near where you are. Look up @Isibella In game, she lives I think in Eystur (I’m not sure of the spelling, it’s next to Hek). Also if you want to go somewhere terrifying and fun I know some great places in nullsec and spend a lot of time in wormholes.

What I just said above goes for you too, find me ingame and look up @Isibella
You don’t have to join anything, but in both of our cases be ready to do stupid things for fun.
