Edit: Btw in detail after a certain period you can’t remove your like.

You got your answer above. After an amount of time has passed you cannot remove a like

But if its in the time alloted to unlike a post, simply click on the heart again to unlike. If it has the 
means you cant unlike it

- I like the contents of your post
- I agree with you
- you made me laugh
- I like the contents of your post, I agree with you, you made me laugh → I love you

How about you just type a short reply to express the things you listed?
Or respond with an image or gif. You know how.

The ‘likes’ serve precisely to prevent this, namely that the forum fills up with irrelevant comments.

This topic and others like it in other forums always makes me remember the Black Mirror episode “Nosedive”. In a universe where likes and social media rating, mean what kind of house you can afford to rent, a young woman plans to attend a wedding to boost her score.
Likes and dislikes are just silly nonsense we use to avoid thread clutter. So I will be happy to clutter your thread now;

= Great topic I totally agree.
= Makes me wonder, I will give it a little thought.
= Horrible idea I totally disagree.
= This makes me angry and upset, worst topic ever!

Also forums are a social place too, some deviation from the thread subject for a fun discussion or even just banter, if it doesn’t break the thread should be no issue to anyone.
