[Literally Uncustomizable] Forum backgrounds

On the old forums I was able to customize the background. This vital feature seems to have gone missing in the new forums. Is CCP deliberately trying to nerf my playstyle as a (extremely) sporadic forum warrior?

I’m unsubscribing 3 of my 84 Omega accounts until CCP reinstates more customization options of the forums and I suggest you all do the same.

The forums are now Caldari, and will remain uniform for everyone.

Caldari master race.

I agree… as a Firm believer of the Amarrian Faith, I should be able to see the Glory of Domain!

Plus Falcon, dude get a better quality GIF :stuck_out_tongue:

I totally got a better one :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, what about Gallente?

Nothing for you Gallente.

We don’t need any forum backgrounds to be fabulous.

Plus Caldari is basically still just break-away Gallente, so it’s technically still a Gallente option.

I thought we were still in Amarr Bias Era :yum:

If full width isn’t possible, I’d much prefer a solid background, ideally the same colour as the wrapper. I know we could write browser extensions to customize things like that ourselves, but it wouldn’t take much.

I fixed it :). Run this script in your browser console (press F12, click Console). It edits some style settings to enable the ‘full-screen’ effect.

$('head').append(
'\
<style>\
.wrap { max-width: 100% !important}\
.timeline-docked { right: 10px !important; }\
.timeline-container { right: 10px !important; }\
.topic-body { width: 85% !important }\
#reply-control .wmd-controls { width: 97% !important; }\
#reply-control .reply-area { max-width: unset !important; }\
.user-right { width: 90% !important }\
.user-content { max-width: unset !important; }\
.save-button { margin-top: 40px !important; width: 93% !important; }\
.save-button.controls { width: 100% !important; }\
.save-button * { font-size: 17px !important; height: 40px !important; width: 100% !important; }\
.save-user { width: 30% !important; }\
.menu-panel { margin-right: 30px !important; }\
</style>\
'
);

Edit: Made changes for various parts of the UI.
Edit: Moved the menu a bit to the left.
