Little things / Small QoL suggestions (old)

Question about ingame Fitting tool, and UI in general. I while acan have access to all ship holds via ship hangar or Fitting tool, i’m not able to pull fighters out of Fighter Launch tube unless i’m docked and board a ship. Which is kind of strange since i periodically do sale of carriers and don’t want to fly back to the ship current location and want to sell it stripped but without repackaging due to losing rigs issue. So any how i can get access to the fighter in launch tubes without boarding a ship?

Suggestion: The ability to sort the member list in Local chat by Standing in addition to alphabetical.
Keywords: UI, chat, standing
Notes: Allows to quickly see allies or enemies, especially in higher population systems.

Suggestion: Filament to take you to random low sec systems

Keywords: Content, Filaments

Notes: we have filaments to take us to a random null sec, we have filaments to take us in and out on Pochven. Now let us have filaments to take us to a random low sec, this would be useful for fleet/corps/individuals looking for PVE and PVP content

Suggestion: Overview Tab and Dougnut Chart for Corporation Wallet
Keywords: Wallet, ISK, Corporation, Overview, Chart
Note: A simple way to make corporation expenses easier to understand at a glance

At the moment, when you look at your personal wallet, in addition to the Transactions, Market Transactions My Shares, Automatic Pay and Give ISK tabs there is also an Overview tab.

On this tab are two ‘doughnut’ (or dounut if you’re an American) charts (accessed via two radio buttons) for income and expenditure which also give a breakdown of the split between the type of transactions.

.

These charts are well designed and offer a really good graphical way to see the current state of your finances.

It would be really useful as for me as a CEO to have a similar pair of doughnut charts for corporation income and expenditure. At the moment the only way to work this out is poring over the transactions list with a calculator which is time consuming and difficult.

Um no. Any american i know sure doesnt spell it that way

Suggestion: Ability to open all crates from a stack of crates or open all crates from multiple stacks at the same time

Keywords: ui, crates, loot, rewards
Note: Opening more than a few crates is tedious.

Opening a reward crate takes about 10 seconds to click through to reveal the loot, which makes it extremely tedious once you have more than a few to open. Why is something that is supposed to be fun and rewarding so tedious and soul-crushing?

Suggestion: Update Mission Report UI
Keywords: missions, npc, UI

The Eve Career Agent mission report UI is really nice. The rest of the mission reports outside of the career agents should look the same.

Suggestion: The option to automatically turn on CTRL Shift F9 when I enter a hangar.
Keywords: UI, hide UI, hangars, performance
Note: Hangars draw a boatload of additional power, which I want to minimize.

My laptop would enjoy this

suggestion: On the route indicator add an icon to indicate a different region
keywords: UI
Notes: it would be handy to know, especially when we have a long route when we move from region to region, perhaps just by adding a small chevron above the “square” to indicate that change

would be nice for market checking.

Great Idea! I’m assuming that you might mean something like this?

The colours I picked for the chevrons (which will need to be tweaked by CCP for clarity, indicate, L to R, high sec, low sec and nul sec space accordingly - more useful info for the pilot).

They want something that indicates they are going from Lonetrek to the forge

System Security is already color coded in system squares along the route.

The chevrons would need to be placed at systems squares vertical borders and show
Region A / Region B
tooltip upon mouse hover maybe?

exactly like that, my art skills are not up to much but you did a good job on that, not neccesarily colour coded, but just a chevron to indicate region change.

Suggestion: remove NPC Corps from LP when you have 0 LP with them
Keywords: LP, Interface, UI
Notes: once we have gotten LP to zero with a given corp please remove it from the list, or at least give us the option to hide LP below a certain number (player controlled),

becuase this is just silly

Suggestion: make the “Relevant Skills” lines for R&D Agents behave in a way similar to the Requirements window of a ship or module information.

Keywords: UI, Interface, R&D, Agents

Notes: Would bring consistency to display of required skills across info pages for different aspects of the game. Aspects that all have minimum skill requirements to interact with.

Suggestion: Update the “Description” tabs of all ammos to include a line with a rough breakdown of damage type. By proxy I believe this should automatically update their display in the market.

Keywords: UI, Text, Market, Ammunition, Ammo

Notes: For example, here’s the current Phased Plasma S description.

Small Projectile Ammo. This ammo uses a similar plasma containment core as hybrid charges except that it is mounted in a standard cannon shell.

50% reduced optimal range.

And here’s what I imagine

Small Projectile Ammo. This ammo uses a similar plasma containment core as hybrid charges except that it is mounted in a standard cannon shell.

Damage Profile: 83% Thermal, 17% Kinetic
50% reduced optimal range.

Could also use the damage type icons in place of the words Thermal and Kinetic. (or EM and Explosive for ammos that deal those damages)

The reasons for this are:
1 its annoying for new players to have to show info on ammos to check, especially when looking at a list of the ammos in the market.
2 displaying a strict percentage makes it faster to check damage typing anyways over the Attributes tab’s individual breakdowns.

Change is slightly less relevant for Laser and Hybrid ammo as there are only 2 damage types for each, but it really wouldn’t hurt to include them. And missiles… I am nothing if not a fan of a consistent Display format. For them you don’t need to put percentages but just “Deals X Damage” on it’s own line wouldn’t hurt.

Suggestion: Delivery of corp items to “myself”

Keywords: ui, corporation orders, market, corporate delivery
Note: Delivery of corp items to “myself”

When you right click on items, you have option to deliver to corp hangars or specific person.

However, delivering to specific person opens super large list and some of members of my corp are not active atm, didn’t log in for years and I am dreading the day when I drop few bills into their personal hangar. Also sometimes with alts, I forget on which alt I am and deliver to wrong one, then have to relog to create contract.

Please add new line there “deliver to myself”, in which case it would be same as feature above where you select member from the list, but would avoid all the possible problems. Also this should be really really easy and fast fix!

Suggestion: Key shortcut to show brackets/object stack in the system map, no more automatic bracket tooltip display on hover-over when probes are in space
Keywords: UI, F9 map, system map, brackets, bracket tooltip, probing
Note: The bracket tooltip and erroneous selection of celestials and other objects in the system map (sometimes the mouse clicks on a probe handle to drag it but instead the system recognizes a click on a celestial or bookmark under the handle and clicks that instead) and the display of miles long celestial object tooltips when you move around the mouse on the map to get to probe handles (which the tooltips subsequently prevent) are major annoyances while probing. A shortcut needs to be introduced as well as an option that makes it so tooltips and celestials only have click-priority/are clickable with probes in space when the shortcut is pressed, otherwise the probes always have priority and nothing else can be clicked.
