Little things / Small QoL suggestions

Suggestion: Add Decimal points to Calculator
Keywords: Gameplay, ui
Note: helps counting the number

It would make the ingame calculator much more usefull and appealing if I would not have to count the Zeros of the result if I have calculated something with the ingame calc. Currently it makes me switch to the windows one all the time cause of better readability.

Suggestion: Despawn relic data sites after 5 minutes once a can has been hacked - and player leaves the site

Keywords: exploration
Note: Would be great to not have to constantly scan down sites that ultimately have already been cherry-picked.

alternatively don’t let these cans be cargo scanned

Suggestion: Dark Mode in Station

Keywords: stations, graphics, ships, docked
Note: It would be nice to have an option to turn off all of the flashing things in stations

When I’m docked in stations I have to try and turn the camera away from all of the flashing things, like ads, and distracting visuals, especially in player owned stations and Gallente hangars, and the only view I usually ever have of my ship is top down, so it would be nice to have a way to turn all the distractions off and see only my ship in its full glory.

what do you mean? As far as I know, the radial menu has been available for wathclist members for years.

I’m sorry, i either mixed something up or just had a brain fart…

Suggestion: Mission objectives visible in the overview.
Keywords: missions, overview, ui
Note: Structures that constitute mission objectives should have their own category in the overview.

Suggestion: Not all mission objectives are auto looted
Keywords: missions, gameplay, inconsistency
Note: Not all mission where you are supposed to loot something have the auto loot feature. Here are 2 examples where the npc drops a can: the lvl 4 Sansha’s Nation missions Unauthorized Military Presence and Ambush the Convoy. They should be jettisoned near the npc/structure that drops them only if you don’t have enough cargo capacity available and you should get notified in the tracker.

Suggestion: Opportunities mission tracker not displaying objectives
Keywords: missions, ui,
Note: On some missions the opportunities mission ui shows “read details” instead of guiding you on what to do. For example on the SOE epic arc on the missions A Matter of Decorum (where you have to place the doll in the can) or on the mission Hunting the Lieutenants (where you are supposed to shoot a habitation module).

Suggestion: Allowing Hold-D - Click on Bridger to Bridge Ship

Keywords: ui
Note: Useful for multiboxers to bridge fleets

When I’m bridging 12 clients (as none of them will have sync’d camera angles and zoom levels), being able to hold D (jump/dock shortcut) on the bridging ship in overview to jump to the bridged system would make it a ton less painful.

Suggestion: Add NPC type selection to Freelance Jobs

Keywords: Freelance, Non-Capsuleers, ui,
Note: To create tasks to hunt specific NPC types.

Add an extra field to type in Name (eg Guristas Convoy) or typeid (eg 13715) during Freelance Job creation for Destroying Non-Capsuleers. It would be nice to be able to reward hunting a (set of) specific NPC type, on top of existing location restrictions.

Keywords: patchnotes, useful
Note: General Information

Can you make the patch notes actually thorough? The case I’m looking at is saratheil BPC

Perhaps include what is required for them from the LP store if you decide to lock a BPC to 1 system and show no info

OOOOOHHHHH This made it into the expansion. It’s so nice, thank you so much

Suggestion: Map Background brightness
Keywords: Map, UI, visual, brightness, control, settings

Note: While the current (new) map seems to slightly dim the background while a region/constellation/system is selected, it would be nice to have a slider or a setting that could change the brightness of the unselected/background systems to be darker/transparent, making it easier to see what is selected.

Current (new) map is hard to make out what is selected

Suggestion: Increase icon size in floating map
Keywords: Map, UI, icons, resolution, graphics
Note: When current (new) map is floating, the icons are much smaller than when set to fullscreen. They need to be larger.

It could be language based, like k, m, b for English; k, kk, kkk in Russian; lakh for Hindi, etc.

Suggestion: Sort Jobs by Available To Me

Keywords: ui, Opportunities, Freelance
Note: See available jobs at a glance

I’d love to see a filter for “Available to me” at the top of the opportunities screen. Currently, when I look for freelance jobs, I have to open the job itself to check whether I’m available to do it. I’d like to be able to filter out jobs that I’m unable to perform. Thank you!

Suggestion: When applying skillpoints (gifted from AIR, daily rewards, etc), show how many skillpoints it will take to finish level 5.

Keywords: Apply Skillpoints, Skill Levels

Currently, when clicking to apply available skillpoints, the popup window only shows how many points it will take to finish the next level. Please add in how many skillpoints it will take to finish the skill to level 5 (or each additional level beyond the current).

This will allow us to easily apply points one time, instead of having to repeat the process up to 5 times per skill.

Suggestion: Show in Market Transactions tab if the item was obtained via a buy order
Keywords: Wallet, station trading, trade
Note: It may be of interest to station traders and manufacturers to be able to distinguish between items bought via buy and sell order when reviewing market transactions.

Suggestion: set a default FOV (Alt+Zoom)

Keywords: ui, camera, fov
Note: Allow more content on screen without manual intervention

As we all know, EVE is a beautiful game. With the addition of fire effects, visual cues are becoming a great way to experience combat viscerally. I would love to be able to have a default FOV set so that I don’t need to ALT+Zoom all the way out to get a wide view of my surroundings. Maybe this can be set in the menu, under Camera. I believe EVE can be enjoyed outside of the tactical overlay.

Maybe regular data and relic sites could have a chance to escalate normally?

That way there would be a reason for people to finish the sites, and if someone does want to leave the site behind, the person who finishes it off has a chance to find an even better site by clearing out the remaining cans.

Another idea, maybe sites could have a relatively trivial isk payout for completing it.
