Be like … Here at CCP we DGAF if you buy our product… In fact… we hope you dont… or if you did; we hope you thought it was ■■■■… Would you like a free sample…
Just go where they go.
Its not like CCP care what anyone says.
Well except the CSM of course.
And good for you. Must be nice to retire early.
Sir,
You appear to be enjoying our product too much… how about we add some shit and razor blades… oh you dont like it now? Great… please fck off … we only like to sell to people that want sht and razor blades… thats our business model… and mobile apps… about such things
BTW id just ban me…
Did I mention you should end the blackout? That is what my posts were eluding to… in case that was not clear.
Maybe someone should come up with some creative and engaging game play mechanics that would allow “Local Chat” to be a facet of EVE that could be manipulated for player use… without just DELETE LOCAL… I saw it on reddit…
CCP Press Release paraphased - EVE Players that have been playing for 10+ years are good at EVE… hmmm this is a problem… how did this happen… lets ruin their 10 years of effort… thatll “shake things up”… Theyll love it, great idea!
People in eve love 2 things… FREE SP… and FREE GANKS… that is all we need for success.
(I do actually love both of those, FFS)
They actually said this?
Cool, looking forward to being good at this game. I guess they’ll change the requirements now.
I recently saw a narrative that said… something to the effect… “That 200 man bomber fleet deserves to kill something” … really… they DESERVE to kill something? Is that eve balance nowadays… They shouldn’t deserve sht… they should have a plan, a good plan, and with good enough players… or find bad enough players to kill… and the same in reverse… if the 200 man bomber fleet gets raped… that is still balance…
Maybe I really should quit eve if that is how we are running ■■■■ now… yeah fck it…
HEy i got an idea… Everyone loves the ERA of Chaos and ■■■■ right? Lets remove local and asset safety and all the stuff and Goons next war just BURNS ALL YOUR ■■■■ TO THE FCKING GROUND and its gone gone… MAN THAT WILL BE SO GREAT… PLEASE KEEP REEEING ABOUT THE GREATNESS SO THE MAY COME TO PASS… Its deserved afterall
Are you ok? I think you need a break.
I think we all need a break. But the fact is as long as CCP doesn’t provide a valid explanation and goals for the blackout, and a timeline of return to normal, this is going to continue and people will get more and more mad and frustrated at CCP stupidity. CCP needs to grow some balls
What would be wrong with that?
I’m not at all convinced the CSM actually has a role anymore.
It is more like a legacy thing that CCP keep going for the sake of it.
As for retiring early - thank you. I only wish I were young enough to have retired early
Not much of a game if there is only one active group.
Look what happened to Serenity - TQ is well on the way to the same sad fate.,.
Maybe. But theres no real way to prevent it non artificially either.
Besides its not the end result tht would be the entertaining part.
The players themselves were preventing it. Goons literally pulled back several times before destroying PanFam completely, because the big groups realize how ■■■■ the game would be if they actually “won” the wars they start.
A lot of us were attempting to live outside the big blocs as well, as independent as possible, but this blackout has made that unsustainable.
Arguably the best thing CCP could do to prevent TQ reaching the state of Serenity is to stop trying to screw with the power balance. All they’ve achieved so far is to punch the small, independent null-sec groups in the dick and drive them into the super blocs, or out of the game entirely.
Let caps in high and job done then, right?
One thing I noted in the above discussion about dropping player numbers etc, is that no one took the empty bot space into account. The regions that have always been botter havens have lost huge amounts of activity. Both players roaming around scouting and the dotlan numbers agree, there’s a significant absence of ratting bots now.
There’ll be a number of those that have now moved on to maybe mine in highsec or attempted stuffed into dead-end systems elsewhere, but the data we do have does seem to indicate that there’s a large number of bots no longer even being logged in. It’s kind of difficult to estimate actual numbers, but one of the official CCP sources did once mention over six thousand bots banned in one fell swoop in the past, and they never get all of them so even if only a third of one little banwave worth of bots stopped working - I’d say that’s a conservative number, but I’d welcome further thoughts on that because I’m asspullin’ it completely - that’d account for about two thousand accounts dropping from the log-in numbers after Blackout.
My personal hunch is that the number is even higher. The amount of bots have always been ridiculous and getting around the Blackout issues reliably already doesn’t seem entirely realistic to me.
What I wouldn’t give to have access to CCP’s own data at this point.
Guys, please!..
There is scarce use in measuring and pondering numbers, glazing culprits and blaming entities. Why are we seeking coherence in a deliberate scenario of misinformation and individual perspectives?
I have friends in this game. I hate to see them less active. It doesn’t feel good, which is direct opposite of gaming objective. They don’t know it, but some of them are my best loyal friends which I expect to encounter and share anytime I log on. I don’t need to talk to them, they don’t need to be friendly or have an answer to any question. They’re just there for me and I hope being there for them. On this, I must say, EVE is secondary.
I don’t think unsubbing is the answer but the last resource. Before considering leaving the game, before winding down on accounts and for those active on this thread and others around, I have a proposal.
Let me tell you, invoking the same spirit above I have no particular interest, nor this proposal benefits any group in particular if a simple set of rules is followed.
We have a counter to this “chaos” charade. Before you go, we must identify its lifeline, attack it and force a real change. We’ve seen very popular samples before, meaningless and selfish but whom have carried numbers in actions that have surpassed the boundaries of the virtual.
This time, we have a real motive, a direct culprit and most important, an objective. It has been pointed out by the RL managers of CCP and we have to look no further.
We must raise a state of war against new players.
I’m not talking about the ever present minimum SP quote to engage in a career within a Corporation. That’s not a new player.
It’s not the “noob” that already knows enough about EVE’s politics to jump into the goons cart as soon as the toon is artificially bloated and PVP ready.
I’m talking about real new players, those who enter this game as we did: Blind, defenseless and vulnerable.
He is not to blame, he has no clue, but I truly don’t want this lack of effort, this lazy ass, laid back attitude from CCP to continue and if their pride, glory and unique driver is that kind of player, while effortlessly declaring it being in detriment of my well earned comfort, position and circle of friends, I see no other path to go before unsubbing.
A simple strategy by securing a flat rate on widely available ganking fittings, aided with a strategic distribution of the arsenal will avoid opportunity from market. There is no need to buy hundreds of Catalysts or spend enough to wave the markets. This objective is small, extremely vulnerable and super easy to kill.
A set of fleets, strategically deployed in new comers seeding or “Rookie Systems”. There is no need of huge numbers but they have to run 24/7 – stupidity.
We have just 24 systems to camp I guess that we can join forces and show our maturity, experience and ability to do something this simple by distributing and securing a constant flow of real new players’ kills not letting a single one go.
If you have endured EVE’s history and built your own comfort by following the rules or not, you’ve earned the right to demand a comprehensive resolution to the game’s current issues. This is not asking to solve botting, removing BO, stopping an umbrella or kicking around a donut. This is pure demand for these peeps to get their hands on the job or step out of the plate. It’s your money, your time and your friends. NO ONE WANTS IT FOR FREE. WE JUST WANT A FAIR CHANCE TO FIGHT.
Just wanted to say I’d much rather have all the bots mining in highsec. Nullsec bots:
- inject isk into the economy through NPC bounties which drives inflation
- generate tax revenue for nullsec alliances through their illegal botting
- prop up ADMs for alliances through their illegal botting
Bots do more damage to the game in nullsec anoms than anywhere else. If the blackout really is driving them out of null then that’s a huge reason to try to make it work, either the way it is now or in some other equally effective form (like local structures that are easily reffed by roaming gangs).
Remember, CCP banned over 4000 accounts for botting in the first 2 months of this year alone. It’s not a small problem.
I apologize for my undistinguished outbursts; I thought CCP were “trying to collect data”; so I’m just giving them some data to analyze. Maybe they meant forums posts… since they have a record 12,000 now.
