I think the point was to make people feel a little less safe. I would say that its working.

Thank you for this new, detailed and well explained insight. Also thank you for making yet another post while there’s a massive post on the same subject.

I actually wouldn’t hate this. If it applied to blues, it would have to be limited to mutual blues, of course, or it would be trivially abused, but I could see some version of this as a reasonable concession to no local.

That’s it, if there are killed NPCs or excavated ore, then there is someone there who can be killed. So you don’t need to look, but you can just fly there.

The more you post… the longer the Blackout stays…

If you are dumb enough to sit there long enough…not my problem.

If the intent is to change the way people play, it worked! If your intent is to create ā€œchaosā€, you failed. I no longer take my ships out for ratting or mining et al, for the simple reason that I cannot protect them. There is your change. Also, I pretty much long on to do my daily killing spree and that’s about it. Sorry no chaos to be found here.

Anyways, I’m reading that Star Citizen is coming online in early 2020. Maybe you will find me there.

you are really so stupid or pretending to be .in many alliances, including in my corporation, a system is assigned to the corporation and you cannot go to another.
knowing where they live it’s enough to put a lamp there and fly over and over again having information from a map or from other sources. just say that you want easy killings so you don’t have to fly in search of victims, just look at the statistics.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to kill a single massive spod rock? Even with excavators, it’s definitely more than 20 minutes.

Which is my problem how?

I am sure that you can have been around long enough to remember when heavy mining ops were a full corporation if not alliance level endeavor. I really don’t have a lot of pity if the carebears can’t defend their hardware and/or stay mobile enough to avoid lighting up the map.

After 2 years of pretty much constant war I made sure my isk wasn’t reliant on nullsec at all. It still isn’t, and there is no need to make it so.

Your alliance sucking is also not my issue. I have been in 4 null alliances and was never restricted at all within alliance space.

Ah no need to project your phobias onto others.) I have nothing more to talk about with you.

Fine sit in your crappy alliance and cry for all I care. I am having more fun with the blackout than I have in years.

It’s your problem in that you’re the guy telling people to not be in the same place for 20 minutes when they’re mining. Go around making statements like that, you wind up with less credibility than you’ve got pity.

Where is it written that you must clear out a site?
Or that you have a right to?

Can’t clear it fast enough to stay off of the map or can’t defend yourself if you do lighting up the map, you may just want to try a different activity.

Who said anything about clearing a site?

Don’t be daft. People aren’t going to go moving changing constellations—because changing systems doesn’t really slow down the hunters at all once they’ve bothered to come to that area—for piddling little values of rock they could get in a procurer in HS.

And let’s not forget: this is because you want to argue that because it takes 20 whole minutes for the map to update, it’s not actionable intelligence. 20m is less time than it takes to clear 2 sites in a subcap. So now it’s ā€˜kill one Forsaken Hub, move 4-5 jumps’? It’s an unreasonable and frankly stupid expectation.

You’re effectively telling people ā€˜hey, if you don’t live under one of the six umbrellas, you can’t rat in any kind of effective way. You can’t mine in any kind of effective way’.

Yeah actually.

Its crap tier income anyway…I came up in a different nullsec. You may have a ratting ground, it may be camped. A far superior solution was to make sure that my income wasn’t EVER dependent on SOV space.

No ratting, no problem.

If I am making isk I will do it uninterupted somewhere else.
