You say while throwing a High School level insult at someone. Grow Up.
You think "âLet me guess you passed High School and think that is an achievement.â
is a high school insult, how funny.
PVPers: I canât get kills with local in place
Also PVPers: Were is everyone?
Welcome back local. I hope CCP plans on working to address the underlying problems that removing local wasnât going to fix.
I still think no local should be a thing in âsovâ null and that there should be some sort of ansiblex that gives it local; would really add something to the game.
I totally understand Macaroni, blackout raised his hopes for dropping plex prices and increase mineral PI prices , so he can plex his accounts from the complete safety of highsec
Falconâs been drunk since Thursday night, I suspect, donât look for anything official until Monday.
What Iâm hearing from people at G-Fleet, there was some discussion w/Falcon at lunch over things like intel structures, a true âdelayedâ local, and other potential iterations on the idea (none of which would be bad, mind you).
Indeed. This makes little sense.
You canât laud the blackout for fixing the economy and say it opens a path to add new things and rewards and then⌠say you are just going to revert everything? The messaging is incoherent and unsettling. Possibly, there could be some nuance here like the blackout ends Monday because new intel structures are being released, but then why not just introduce the new intel structures to the players?
It really smells of a last minute flinching, which ok, maybe that is necessary if the metrics are that bad, but at least they could frame it as an experiment that will result in changes or something. To go on and on about all the good things the blackout did and will now allow, and then to just add, âoh, by the way, we are reverting thatâ makes no sense.
Agreed.
Though I certainly hope blackout remains, either in current or some long delayed form. The economy is improving already and despite the complaints, itâs not that clear it was doing real damage. When things get riskier, afk and semi-afk activities become harder to do-- not something that can be done at workâthat alone could account for a sizeable share of the decreased active characters online. I and many I know would certainly rather have a vibrant game with active players than one that rewards not-actually playing.
Shame I do not operate just in Hi-Sec but you do not seem to be able to understand that no matter how many times you are told.
Well at least you can press F1.
so wot really happened was over 9k people stoped logging in ccp saw this, ccp wet themselves and decided to add local but I really think ccp could have avoided this by listen to playbase group of people that people voted for like something like âcsmâ or something and really listen to them about some of the issues because at the end of the day you screw over your player base people will leave I still not subing because wot is ccp and himar going do next to cause this game more problems new week or week after that. âCCP YOU HAVE LOSE THE ALOT OF PLAYER DUE TO YOU OWN STUPID IDEAS ALOT OF THOSE PLAYERS MAYBE NOT COME BACKâ use the csm group as way of working with your player base or give up because people are still not going pay or sub for bs anymore, you think bring local will bring all those player back if havnt play much since black out, local coming back isnât going bring me or my other 40 accounts back to the game.
Hahahaha no other explanation. I mean he even admitted few times that he doesnât live in null
Like i said these guys are not reliable. Once left they can never be trusted.
This is great news. Our guys are already preparing to return to the null sector.
Blackout has been a little rough in many senses. Roamers loved it, miners and ratters hated it. Almost 10k fewer logging in, and it shows.
What was good? More risk for being in space. Not knowing the enemyâs entire hand allowed fights to organically evolve and escalate
What was bad? Blackout is oppressive and is extremely harsh to live in permanently. Cloaky ships are king (T3C was to be insanely powerful in blackout post cyno changes). Nullsec was essentially Wormhole space with permanent gates, more risk and less profit.
So how about a temporary blackout mechanic? Imagine this:
- All Covert Ops and Black Ops ships have their local presence delayed by some amount of time.
(This is to add to their âflying under the radarâ style of gameplay.) - A new module that can only be fitted to either Black Ops or Force Recon.
(To give those two ship classes a little love.) - The new module (letâs call it The Blackoutener) adds temporary blackout to local.
(This means it just freezes the list, preventing update of the player list while the effect lasts, creating a false sense of security for those who strictly depend on local to stay informed on activity. Also prevents locals from realising there are now covops in their system hunting them) - Requires players to actively stay alert with D-Scan even with local present.
Additional points to add balance, risk and maybe fun?
- My opinion is and has always been that T3Cs are too powerful and too flexible. T3C should NOT have the ability to use a covert cyno, as they are the only ship capable of flying nullified, cloaky and light cyno fields. Why are only the T3Cs regularly seen in 2-4bil ships with full implant set and not mainline T2 ships? (Iâll bet most of the reason is the cloak).
- Force Recon needs more interesting gameplay. Why not let the Force Recon be nullified, itâs not a strong combat ship and needs to excel in utility. Nullification and both types of cynos will give it a strong niche. Add the new The Blackoutener and itâs looking pretty strong for roaming cloaky fleets.
Rofl! This game seems like a ship with a broken rudder and the Captainâs asleep at the helm. The ship is still under power, but Its direction is where the winds and tides take itâŚ
Local and intel channels pushed me away from the game. Something needs to give. At least delay local by a minute or something to give hunters a chance before the other players click warp and become un-tackleable which denies us content. Maybe make it so if we arenât in a system for longer than a minute we never show up in that local and our fleets can go undetected by the intel channels. Please do something.
I am wondering how CCP will react to the loss of dozens of revolving door subs that complain about local coming back. As for the nonsense about a 1 minute delay, the baby seal clubbing tactics currently being used take less than a minute. its time to start working for kills again.
Arent thoose the best Cruises?
