Well that reinvigorated the thread. To no one’s great surprise, I suppose.
Pity that CCP was predictably lackluster in the testicular department to fold to the whiners, but hey. It was to be expected. The sad part is that this pretty much means they’re never going to grow the prerequisite strength of spine to really change things up the way that is necessary for the long-term health of the game, and will instead just putter on in the kind of stagnation that is a guaranteed death sentence, long-term.
If they can’t maintain something like Blackout, they’ll never have the guts to deal with the things that are going to without a glimmer of a doubt kill Eve like metastasized cancer: Skill Injectors, Super Proliferation/Umbrellas, Rorquals.
So, there we are. Eve’s back to being a shambling corpse, and the maggots are writhing with pure joy, getting to go back to 100% risk free bearing. Yaaaaay.
Pound for pound, you have personally produced more salt that literally every other poster in every thread in every forum including /r/Eve - it’s quite cute
thanks for all the service you do for the game!
there are always differnt groups who want differnt stuff. i just say thank you for somehow holding the pieces together <3
Show some good kills you had during Black Out boy. Despite being broke and not really playing I still joined some roaming and stuka fleets having kills worth billiions of isk. You? Can’t even find you on zkillboard lol
CCP can we now remove the random Raznaborg triglavians that are devastating the highsec community? I think these have caused more players to quit than blackout.
I’m glad BO is gone.
The BO end announcement was adequate. But I did not get the answer about bots. They only said that bots were greatly affected and that BO uncovered possible botting suspects.
This should never happen again.
I cannot stress enough that managing illegality is a task that pertains to the accounts at fault, not to the game. Do not do that again! IF the BO wasn’t purely against bots, don’t glorify it’s effect on them tacitly underlining that it did not get rid of them.
I hope those in charge understand that what we want is to have a better product, which releases and expansions reflect effort and dedication.
In game, we don’t want anything for free. We just want a chance to defend what was built under your ruling.
The Blackout was the implementation of an existing feature, applied prematurely to the wrong environment.
I agree, I just had a wild idea I wanted to run by here.
Say if there was a special ship that when flown it would surpress normal and covert cynos within a 25 to 50km range, coupled with the Blackout this could make for some fun gaming.
The goal of the attacker would be to attack in a way so that they could pin down the special cyno blocking ship and destroy it and THEN light a cyno for their caps to come in. During this time the defender would have time to counter the attack and get their caps off the battlefield and see if they can save their special cyno blocking ship through good teamwork and tactics.
Surely this would be better, if attacking forced want a cap kill then they will have to attack with sub caps to get the opportunity to cyno and then bring in their caps.
I think this is an ok idea at first thought and i can’t see many serious flaws, what do you guys think?
I understand the frustration from the few that cannot cope with the fact that BO was not a permanent implementation or even a feature.
But no one should oversee that it’s part of an era. The Chaos Era.
We still haven’t seen much of it and some of us would love to see what’s next about it or if it’s over… etc.
Some information, nothing more.
Because it may help stabilizing things for those pro and against BO, for those that made decisions regarding permanence in EVE. Believe me, some info will truly help.
So my perspective is CCP might not really care that some sov dwellers and multiple account owners may desub for a time or move out of sov back to hisec, they will still have a very high percentage of the players on side and happy.
I did think the Drifter attack was pretty brutal at the beginning of the BO, at this point I think anything could happen with Sov as CCP seem to be poking and prodding sov like it’s some sort of test subject they no longer have any compassion for.
