Careful, that could be regarded as slander…
If the emojis do not indicate the seriousness (or lack of in this case) of my post then perhaps those who take it seriously need to imporve their reading comprehension. Aside of that no it can not be regarded as such as I wrote a question not a statement, you know “what if”.
Then they’d all be setting themselves up for much larger issues, considering that sort of behavior is heavily frowned upon in the RL circles many of them move in, like real world finance, the military, or academia.
Only if they get caught. But even if they do get caught most probably nothing would happen. Just look at the Brisc Rubal fiasco, as far as I know none of the people involved in framing him were named or even just punished for their actions, at least not that I know of, unless I missed any such announcement from CCP.
Besides why would any RL institute military, academic or otherwise would care bribes involving a vid’ya game especially when such bribes can be considered as being part of the metagame and in-game politics to begin with. If anything it can be considered a breach of the CSM agreement and maybe the EULA in general so if anything deters them it is the CSM agreement.
But of course no such thing needs to be considered as we all know they are honorable people and fully trustworthy.
Interesting. My last post got flagged and wonder by whom…
to CCP
How many real players you lost with the local blackout?
And now you lifted, can you tell me a good reason to return to game?Personally if i return need to start from the beggining if i want to go back to 0.0
And for what? to give you my money again and wait for your next idiot decision to f…ck my game again?
this is exactly the entitled, selfish behavior that people do when they think nullsec botting is okay, get banned and then ‘oh but i subbed for 6 months before getting my bot up and running i deserve to have a say and criticise local blackout’. this behavior is what blackout ultimately addresses and why it should be turned back on forever.
So you are accusing garfield of being a bot or just spouting drivel because you have nothing of value to add to the thread?
I’d say the risk averse Goon who didn’t experience BO as many others did should just keep his accusing mouth shut. Oh look at me, I’m a Goon and BO was wonderful and everyone who didn’t like it is a bot.,.
As you don’t seem to know the difference between a Bot and someone who feels betrayed by CCP - Bots as a rule DON’T PAY FOR SUBS, they plex, seriously.
I miss the days when Goons had rules about who could post on the forums, letting self entitled scrubs post drivel like this, accusing others of being bots, in Goons name - Is just a bit sad to be honest.
Ichinumi Tsukaya “Presumption” - Thought he Pharted, when he really shite - Check your panties next time you “presume”.
Hang on a sec. Are you seriously saying that someone saying ‘hey, [company], I didn’t like the product you tried to sell me. Why should I give you my money again?’ is entitled, or selfish?
If you went into a restaurant and got a meal you didn’t order, would you automatically decide ‘I must now spend MORE money here!’ or no?
1, EVE is no longer the previous sandbox game.
2, service support is too slow, can not correspond to the current life rhythm.
3. The game is dying out and there are fewer and fewer new EVE members.
GM consider this?
i mean in the same way blackout didn’t work for many people, the status quo is not working for many people. just cos they stopped it now doesn’t mean the underlying issue which they turned it on to address has been rectified
oh and besides i have no issue with telling people who willingly accept a set of rules to pay to do something and then they decide they don’t like those rules they accepted and decided they’ll go ahead and break that they have dun goofed. and we should really be a little more flexible to a changing meta which has been for some time otherwise very stale.
I hope the “space weather” from the trig structure knocks out local in the region it’s active.
And have it drop bpcs to make new ones!
ah! it is you, the pvp god Sgt Ocker! i am so sorry sir! you really should tell me about how much you know risk to educate me on my failings and so i can understand just how in fact bad blackout is because you take so much risk every single day; local chat is certainly not a source of intel for you that just tells you where your next victims are!
“haha got you again ichi i am an alt u assume huurr” yeh cool, +1 brownie point for you; but lets be real for a sec if ur main had anything much on its killboard you would’ve posted from that. after all you are reknown as the king of risk.
and its not like garfield outsed himself by literally saying ‘i will have to start again if i want to go back to 0.0’ - i mean, thats clear as day ‘i’ve been banned for botting when my bot malfunctioned during blackout’
oh and i know why you’re a little sensitive, i do recognise garfield80 from my ph time sorry your mate got banned for botting.
Oh you’re going on about Bots?
Not like this was not adressed in this thread before but let me quote a line from the CSM summit:
Bots don’t disappear, they simply move on to other activities.
Taking Local away only makes them move somewhere else.
And nerving legit players to get at cheaters is ■■■■■■ up in any case - even if it did work wich it doesn’t.
Also note that:
And thats something i’ve been wondering why there no propper cheat detection like punkbuster has been implemented years ago already.
Lashing at players with dumb nervs to safe a few bucks?
I would definitely support CCP using PunkBuster especially if they use Punkbuster in a way that allows anti-cheat communities to get involved or for new anti-cheat communities to be created. I am very familiar with how PB works and the checks it does, so that would for sure be a positive
I thought you live in Highsec now? Thats where your last two losses happened and you still have not shown up in K-6. Or is this just taking a week off to recharge on testicular fortitude befor you’re ready for me?
Show me how you take some risk before prescribing it to others
You must have a cheating heart then, I read same words and interpreted it to mean he would have to get all his crap back out to 0.0…that is what starting over means to me when I take a long hiatus.
Like irl, It never was the sandbox game we tend to remember through bitter-vet eyes. CCP always had huge knobs and switches we pretended that don’t exist. I do hope they continue to exercise them with even more than in the past-- some great ideas during the discussion resource scarcity by random shifts of resources; constellation weather effects (though please not 350 of them–too complicated)
I had a ticket answered within two hours this week-- that seems plenty fast.
They spent quite a bit of time addressing this…the problem isn’t lack of new players–the problem is keeping them playing.
Yea and when you pull crap like the BO, you dont help retain new players
Part of the problem and surely would help if CCP had a corp in game open only to CCP employees. They could be the Jovians for all I care but they need to do two things with this corp.
First, gain and hold sovereignty in a constellation in Null and a constellation in Low sec in rotating manner between various regions (i.e change every 3-6 month or so).
Second, use only game mechanics that the player have access too.
This will provide invaluable feedback in addition to the SCM and help them see the daily frustrations of spending hours to setup one or two activities.
sounds like you don’t understand what starting over means - or are just willfully making excuses for your fellow man because he follows your school of thought on the thread subject. lets not get distracted: starting over means you are … starting over. not sitting in a high sp indy character or so and needing to reapply to ur alliance with lots of manufacturing to bring to the table or whatever.
@ Borbarad Naglfar i get the feeling that your proposal may be more complicated and dev resource intensive than you realise (if its even possible) but ultimately it is easier to detect botters when the the net is tighter and there are more eyes around. drive all the bots to highsec and lowsec and watch what happens to security team’s workload.
