Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

stop being a little pussi nullbear

Everything that came into existence will always have an end. That is the nature of “Creation”.

As it was written by many others, no issue with blackout from the moment there is an efficient counter measure (intel tower for example), but a straight blackout like what they did this past summer? hell no. And that would be the quickest and surest way to have the game shut down within weeks if not days

hell yes!

CCP just need to beef up the belt rats with capitals hehe

Well, the DD/BC thing was certainly interesting, since even a 2013 relative newbie like me knows about that despite having started playing 2 weeks or so after that change. But all the BOB stuff… why lie? There’s no profit in it here… in game, sure. but here?

Anyway, an EVE-killing game, eh? Sounds like Derek Smart and the whole Star Citizen-killing game he wanted to make.

There was a reason for the ellipsis before the “never ends”…

Because he’s a narcissist. He desperately needs to feel important and respected, even if he hasn’t done anything to deserve it.

LOL. Derek Smart could barely get Alganon working…

Hm, very well, Merin. I just feel like he could get attention without lying pointlessly about when he started playing the game.

Like I said… Derek Smart “wanted” to make. Not succeeded at making. From what I hear, he’s not a very good game dev himself (but he does have some good points about how badly the SC team has managed things for the past decade due to their crowdfunding efforts producing more fruit than was initially expected!).

Blackout made null security space feel more dangerous.

yeah. far more dangerous… good to hear. i was thinking about returning to the game but i discover, that my carrier in nullsec is now just useless. i wasted half of a year to get sp for it and now its gone. NSA, local… i dont think i want to pay for this game. if id wanted to just pvp without purpose, id have a lot of session-based games. it would a lot more fun.

those, who talking about “players will adapt to changes” are right. a lot players, most of them adapted over the years… by finding another game  its a good thing i checked what changed in the game, before returning.

No. You as a player are useless. Don’t blame your innocent carrier for your lack of ability to cope with any kind of PvP threat to your mindless farming.

umm Blackout ended. Local is back up, been back up for a few months. CCP realized it was horrible for the game and brought it back right after those monthly reports came in and seen the massive drop in Subs and Plex purchased.

LOL The Matani said people who still believe blackout was good for the game are like anti vaxxers at this point haha IT’S FUNNY CAUSE IT’S TRUE… the stats show it. More like flat earthers IMO

Blackout was good for the game.

Blackout was bad for CCP’s subscription income.

What the blackout revealed was the sad truth that CCP makes a bunch of money from pathetic farmer trash that will ragequit at the first sign of anything that reduces their farming income or forces them to invest effort into their farming. And so CCP put maintaining subscription revenue ahead of making a good game.

No trading in-game currency or items for real world currency.

What are you on about people play the game in there own way they advertise and I quote “be your own pilot mold the world to your playstyle” back in 2014. just because your obsessed with pvp and have daddy issues doesn’t mean people farming or enjoying the PVE aspect of the game is a bad thing. you just need to find other people with daddy issues like you and you can fight amongst each other. I pay money to play a game how I see fit not how you want it played.

Being PvE farmer trash is not a “play style”, it’s a toxic mindset held by people who do not belong in EVE. See that part about “mold the world to your play style”? That means using PvP force to take what you want, not having CCP hand you a zero-risk farming area where you can repeat the same menial tasks over and over and over again until you get bored and quit.

The simple fact is that EVE is a PvP game and you are doing the equivalent of joining a FPS server and demanding that everyone stop shooting at you so you can walk around and enjoy the scenery. Go back to WoW, because that is the kind of game you want.
