I dont think you get it.
hi-sec is perceived less safe, because its higher safety let people be more careless. On the other hand the lack of safety of nullsec made people be less riskier (“flee like cockroaches”, really no reason to be target practice for others) .
How do you think will players react to blackout? Well, they will probably become even less riskier. surprised?
Organizing highsec level of safety in null should be a lot harder than parking some capital alts in a staging citadel and jumping them to any cyno that goes up.
I think that mining and subsequently production will drop in Null sec meaning that it will be worth while for industrial players to return, just as I did.
As to what Null players will do. I think they will come to the forums and whine, only to be told to HTFU, like they did to so many other players.
No I get it except you do not. In Hisec you cannot spot the wolves in the sheep. In Null sec you can.
That’s exactly what the problem was with instant local.
It’s so much more interesting and engaging now for all involved. The risk adverse can go to high-sec, though that’s not, nor should it be, 100% safe.
Generally speaking, the people in highsec setting up refineries tend to not be the people who have gank-alts, no.
Come to Delve. See who ends up fleeing like a cockroach.
If the odds weren’t 999:1 with a massive super umbrella, you lot would scatter too. Trying to flex as if Delve isn’t a roach motel just like any other is rather disingenuous. Your bears are as cowardly as the rest of’em.
True that repeating myself does not make it true, however it is somewhat more interesting than reading pilots like yourself and others defending CCP actions. And as I have said in a previous post, it is high time for CCP grow some balls and for them to defend and explain this craziness.
So, let’s compare Nullsec with Wormholes:
Wormhole:
-“Delayed” Local
-No Stargates
-You can’t jump into a WH with a Jump Drive
Nullsec:
-Has Stargates
-Easy to reach with Cynos
-Enemy can bring in infinite reinforcement
I feel that having Nullsec Local in “Delayed” mode is a bad move. You just gave Nullsec the advantage of Wormhole “Delayed” Local.
You summed up the problem. Null was so safe for those that lived there that no one had a chance.
If made the largest area of the game dull and uninviting to those who did not want to be drones to large alliances.
The game has slowly given itself a thousand cuts, every time it listened to null alliances and ignored everyone else, even during the period where Hi-sec had a lot more people than null. Now that was really stupid.
They have after years of craziness Eves risk vs reward system is a lot closer to fair now their is no local in null.
It’s a shame not that the developer did the stupidity introduced: Local Comms Blackout! And the fact that he ignores the players and spits on their opinion !!!
These are two options - or is it a paid up share from global Alliances, a new front space, prolonged certain GM for real (I am inclined to this thought)!
Or there is a second option: The CCP does not have adequate game designers who would have a brain, and normal ideas for players !!!
Communication and normal feedback with the players - was dying, the Developer didn’t care about the players’ opinion! FACT!
CCP is doing everything in their power to break my addiction.
Are you what happens when bots grow self-aware yet only have the processing power of an Arduino or Raspberry Pi?
…oooor! People would just park a crapton of target range boosted rorqs in refinery tethering ranges and send dem drones (cheap ones) do the dirty work. Just return every couple of hours to select a new rocks. Complete no brainer.
CCP pokes the turtle - the turtle will turtle up.
Did map suddenly stop showing number of NPC killed and ADM levels?
Nope it is still there showing us that the Nullbears are still out there farming, especially in spots with only one gate for entry and exit.

You actually do not collect ore from drones while tethered , but they will mine it , its just lost
I’ve been playing Eve online for several years. If, I look at your text more closely. Do I have the feeling that some players want to make a “science” out of it, which only bring benefits for certain situations, and want to be less surprised by what the game can offer. In my opinion, it is not possible and helpful to regulate everything and adapt capital ships without having the overall picture of EVE Online in mind. As for drifter invasion and blackout, there are examples in history where great empires were destroyed because the unexpected hit them. Even something like that can and should be part of the game.
