Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

The map is delayed intel at best, and on the scales involved it’s pretty mediocre intel compared to what local provides. Don’t pretend to be that dim.

Gesundheit.

согласен, и присоединяюсь к вопросу как долго не будет локала оплачивать окна или можно забить на игру?

CCP - Although I wouldn’t assume that player numbers (peak, trough or average) is the only metric that will decide if the blackout stays.

It’s feasible for CCP to see and drop in the average numbers in space yet and have an increase in engagement and even an increase in store sales.

I thought that running an industrial core would break tether.

I feel that having Nullsec Local in “Delayed” mode is a good move. You just gave Nullsec the disadvantages of Wormhole “Delayed” Local.

Explain how having a stupid blackout is giving everyone a chance. And please don’t start listing reasons as if CCP had sent you their defense script…

If we all wanted to live in WH space with WH mechanics, we would be in WH.

And as others have already pointed out, there are far bigger differences between the two than delayed local.

He reads more like a i286 to me.

Hundreds of posts in the former incarnation of this thread claimed exactly that and this thread is no exception…

Exhibit A:

Perhaps you know the difference between nullsec and w-space, but I assure you that the common botter / renter trash player does not.

What you mean besides risk vs reward being closer now and Null no longer being safer than Hi-sec and that with less industry being done in null, it will make the rest of eve more viable like it used to be?

Ok so how about HTFU, Null is outlaw space not My Little Pony space and if you do not like the level of risk a more balanced Null is, then Hi-sec is available.

I do hope the blackout lasts, the game has hope now. Not just My Little in Space.

If you think Null without local is even close to WH space, you have never lived there but as you love safety so much, I am not surprised.

Its not about safety, and noone wants wh space in k-space.

Have you seen null after blackout? its less then 10% activity as before.
Is it good for the game? Well… we will see…

If it is 10% active than before but the server stats are up, that means that they must be in Hi-sec.

It does leave the question, who is killing so many NPCs if there are only 10% left in Null.

Personally I think this game will definitely go toward its deathbed with the blackout.

The current existing data does not support this conclusion.

We will see what the future holds, especially if CCP continues to smoke the carpet

It sounds like you just don’t like the change, again the currently existing data does not support this conclusion.
