Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

Everyone has blues who shoot at them or steals from corporations. That has nothing to do with null.
You mean NOW cynos, wormhomes and cloaks allow hostiles to move without being easily detected, because showing up on local was easy detection.
Cynos and bubbles work both ways and are normally used to get people entering someones space not by roaming hunters.
Until recently with the wardec changes Concord was useless unless you were in an NPC corporation and no you cannot just mark people friendly in hi-sec to make it safer, there are to many people for that.
And again that is a lot of words to say you want Null safer again.
I hope it stays like it is now, then at least it is a logical progression of risk vs reward.

Besides lo-sec really needs the extra people.

let’s keep it that way
will play fewer people
and then you can watch the empty systems
in nullsec play only omega
low-high sec plays a large amount of alpha
and what does it mean
no money for ccp
and the finale of all this is the end game
In this case, it is super change
blackout local how to get people out of the game :sob::sob::sob::sob:

Yeah but the only people who will leave are the risk averse and they who will not adapt.
Seems like the same advice Null gave Hi-sec for over a decade.
Thankfully it will possibly stop the game being so stagnant.

couldn’t agree more, if the modual only shows local to the alliance/ blues that own it I will be so happy to watch all the 1337 pvp people moan about how broken it is… and how many of them will unsub because pvp is to unfair now…

it was perfictaly fair before just so many people couldn’t see that :[

Yes, I’m sure they’ve turned off local as a precursor to replacing it with a blue-only local because clearly the intent behind all of this is to shift the intel advantage toward greater safety for null residents.

That must be it.

I am assuming this is what people mean by “spodbrain”.

Examples?

No, I don’t. Get as large a highsec group as you like. Can you see the gankers coming?

Awoxing is a whole other issue.

Local provides perfect information. What it doesn’t provide is automatic relays.

Except, you know, for that whole ‘showing up in local’ thing.

There’s also no cynos and bubbles in highsec, so you can’t bring in defense forces as quickly, or slow enemies down on the gate with bubbles. It cuts both ways.

AHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Yeah, ok. And freighters don’t die in Jita during the Burns, either, I suppose? Gankers know how fast CONCORD will respond. They know exactly how many people they need for guaranteed kills in each sec rating.

How? How do you consistently identify the gankers when all you need is a disposable Coercer pilot you started up the night before?

We’ll see.

It’s pretty close, yeah.

The longer this crap continues, the more we will start seeing smaller alliances and corps fold to join bigger ones in order to remain in null sec. Simple result of CCP having smoked the carpet, waking up drunk every day and being complete morons for the past 2+ weeks now.

ye pretty much, and once again its a change that has/will cause things that are for the most part irreversible/take a long time to be undone.

just like injectors, mining rorquals/orcas, dock able titans and such. but so many people cant see where the problem with eve is that they grab onto things like botting and VNI ratting… instead of mega blobs, umbrellas and the other things listed above.

yes botting is a problem but its a drop in the mixing bowl compared to other changes that have been made to the detriment of the game and to fair play.

Of course. Some freighters did die during the event which happens in, like, 4-6 systems maybe twice a year. The whole of highsec isn’t safe! Run you fools! Not like there is literally a thousand of other systems which remain unburnt and zero opportunity to prevent wardecs.

Strange that after 15 years of warnings that the sky would fall if local was ever removed from null. Here we are 2 weeks in with the Null crowd still predicting the same doom and gloom, Yet no doom or gloom being found so far.

After all of the talk I was expecting, the dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together , mass hysteria!

and that is why they try to make every effort(free skillpoints, skillpoints mise)
to get people back into the game

It never recovered from the whole Greed is Good, using Eves money on other games, bit.
Hopefully now that they are making the game make more sense they will get new players in from other areas. Especially after the fast 5 years complete stagnation.

Finally found something to shoot at? Damn it must’ve been hard if it took two weeks.

Yawn…

The doom and gloom is a slow rolling thing, many of us who will quit soon, have time left on our accounts. Those manufacturers that will suffer mineral shortages are still eating into stocks. Some of that time in quasi gate camps or bait mining operations.

So, we log into say high t friends, wait for CCP to announce this will end soon, or never so we can make final decisions. I need to decide on a account I am paying for in a few weeks and none of my plex for the other account are going in until I know one way or the other…

As I have said many times, I will not pay for a game to create content for you.

So it is long term doom and gloom. So if the sky doesn’t fall, in a year or so I presume that is still waiting for the sky to fall.

Seem like your warnings of Doom and Gloom are creating content. Just forum content.

absolutely correct. personally I have already cancelled my renewal and indicated it was due to the blackout. and I am not buying any plex until CCP stops being idiots and reinstates local. In all of my years playing EVE, this is the 1st time I am doing this (except of course when I was taking a break from the game)

And I am not using any of my ships until the blackout gets removed either. Would rather fly in my pod

previously maybe because none of CCP stupidity reached this level. But this time, CCP might have well outdone themselves to piss people off. Time will tell, but I will stick to my prediction that with this crap, there wont be a game in about 1-2 years time

You mean CCP has never altered the risk vs reward in Null in a manner that disadvantaged Null. The rest of EvE is quite used to it however.

I must admit after the years of Null saying HTFU, this is rather funny.
