The only people who like this idea are the people who gank and have the botts this will just make it easier for bots to go undetected as no one will be able to log the times they are actualy on. and also i have heard of the drone lands having bots that do dscan every three to four seconds these guys are the people who want you to do this. this means no one will be able to call them out as bots as you cant prove they are even online unless your on the server side rendiering log in reports… but it will be nice to see all the people like me who pay cash for sub and sell plexs to stop buying or subbing an then watch plex price jump to 5 or 10 billion per month. this is only going to hurt everyone and anyone who plays the game fairly. also if you do this you will end up having the choice remove cloaks or bring back local as cloaky camping is going to get so bad people will actualy file petions and just quite to go play better games with devs who actually care and listen.

CCP was planning on adding asset safety to W-space, but it was wormhole-residents that didn’t want it. It was seen as a reduction of risk that wasn’t needed. Since we never had a permanent stations to save assets in, CCP left asset safety out of W-space as the is the way that mechanics have always worked there.

I’ve never once heard anyone of my fellow wormholers say we don’t want asset safety. Though I’m betting whoever you heard say that was one of the top eviction groups like Hard Knocks. They are a vocal minority in the wormhole community and benifits from the rest of our losses.
As a wormholer who’s lost 2/3’rds of his net worth due to an eviction I do still support the lack of Asset Safety.
Now I keep a PvE fleet and some spare combat ships in HS as a safety net.
This change will cripple bots as I’ve explained above.

Sure but they surely can’t effectively mine with Rorqs elsewhere and in high sec they will be far less effective and more visible.

There is no compromise that can go over 5mil ticks, and for 5mil ticks, I might as well go do L2s in hisec.
There is no safety either, you see, even assuming you went full retard and ratted in a pvp ship (5 mil ticks hello), and the ganktard who enters system is solo, then one of two things happens:
- You counter him, he runs with his stupid tail between his stupid legs like a risk-averse retard he is.
- He counters you, you die, have fun ratting 10 hours to buy another ship.
So when you do risk-reward calculation, you should apply them to yourself just as well, as for defender, the reward is achieving nothing while having abysmal ticks, and risk is 10 hours of his life spent ratting to get a new ship, while for ganktard, the risk is none because all he has to do is run, and the reward is everthing that drops. This is really unfair to defender and shows total futility of all recipes of “ratting in pvp ships”, because even if you ISK-tanked solo ganktard, he comes back with a fleet, and you and your abysmal ticks are screwed regardless. This is the main reason nobody undocks for ganktards - there is risk, but zero reward to do so.
