Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

That much is obvious yeah. It’s a good change but without rebalancing we’re just going to end up with even more capitals under umbrellas.

Bad move CCP. Unsubscribed accounts. Thank you for finally killing the game and sandbox.

  • stoped hot wars with forced PVE with overpowered dev hax Driftes.

  • You just killed industry with your local change.

  • Nullsec will become as devoid of life as wormholes.

You dont play your game do you? Either that or you hate your playerbase.

I’m bloody tired of them trying to" fix" nullsec. Activate all these things in lowsec AND highsec. You wanna know how eve dies this is it. Have fun flying in soon to be empty WH space

Interesting time ahead, for sure - this could easily swing both ways, null gangs getting more organized and on top of their game or people quitting en-mass. I’m very happy that this happened now because all my subs runs out at the end of July - not going to renew until I see which way this change swings the game.

Btw, the way these changes have been executed has been very poor - remember back in the days CCP? - “We didn’t listen!”

Or combat recons.

Contract your stuff to me before biomassing !!

So as I fly through Null looking for fights it will look even more empty then it does. This is a good plan. Risk averse Krabs will head to High Sec. Who needs carebears anyway. This is a good plan.

The amount of salt in here is unreal XD
WAAAAAAAAAAA I’m unsubbing all my accounts
WAAAAAAAAAAA If I wanted to live in a WH I wouldn’t be in null
WAAAAAAAAAAA how will the little guy be able to survive with this change
So full of ■■■■, none of you are going to “unsub” your plexed accounts, of which you only have so many because of the stupid amount of safety you currently have in null allows you to just generated isk all day long, and thinking having no local means you may as well be in wormholes really does show how little you know about this game.
Also, who are these little guys everyone seems to think is going to be screwed by every change that ever gets announced lol

This does nothing to prevent hordes of nullsec Rorquals sucking an endless amount of ore from an endless number of anomalies while under the protection of their local capital umbrella. If anything, it makes the cap umbrella more important. It only screws over ratters; you know, the profession that newbie nullsec players depend on (in the form of salvaging the wrecks ratters leave behind). Assuming that you want to make null less profitable (which may assume too much since nobody really knows WTF you’re trying to accomplish; maybe not even you), just make it less profitable FFS.
All you seem to do anymore is make stupid changes (like the aforementioned endless ore) that fail to solve the problem they were intended to solve (in this case, you wanted to make room for more alliances in nullsec, but all the changes did was concentrate power & wealth in fewer hands). Now it seems that you’re trying to solve the same problems you created - not by reversing them or even tweaking them - but by making even more stupid moves that also won’t accomplish whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish.
Take Goonswarm for example: can you think of a single sov-holding alliance that is more capable of cranking out cheap carriers & dreads (which will be the new ratting meta if this change holds) and then having them defend them against surprise attacks by mashing their cyno button and summoning the super blob? Neither can I. Congrats, CCP, you just made the most powerful alliance in the game even more powerful relative to everyone else. We will suffer a little, but everyone else in nullsec will suffer much more. Unintended consequences ahoy!
Maybe if you actually talked and listened to the CSM, they could have pointed out what the consequences of this change would be. (Edit, apparently they have repeatedly explained these consequences to you; but no, you know best, despite all evidence to the contrary.)
No way am I unsubscribing, though. I’ve played this game though 13 years of your idiocy by taking my suffering, amplifying it and giving back out to my enemies (which is everyone else). That’s the one gameplay style you’ve never managed to nerf. Not yet, anyway.
