I don’t approve of the blackout and I have never in my long term of playing EVE have I ever botted , I love how you think you are speaking for the whole community it is just not the case.

Yea. Not sure why a ship firing out system spanning space sonar pulses is somehow invisible to all types of scanning. Plus balance wise it’s perfect. If your hidden and cannot be seen then you can’t see things off grid.
But at the same time the other way around would be cool too. Dscan and probing finds cloaked ships but they don’t show on overview til you uncloak them. Meaning you can’t be afk cloaked or a prober will drop on top of ya. Could be fun to have search parties of frigs with drone clouds running cloakies out of system before they can find a good target. Probably good to add an agility penalty to covert cloaks too. Slower to warp and to slowboat to targets while cloaked.

CCP doesn’t get paid when someone uses PLEX to extend their time. Frankly with lower prices people will be inclined to buy more to sell so they get the same amounts of iskies. It’s been an extremely long time since PLEX prices have fallen steady for more than a few weeks. Mostly during sales. If I recall incoming PLEX has been fairly steady based on player count forever so as people who use it for game time leave it’s just creating a high supply.

Nullsec people have to be able to pvp, if they cant they are literally a useless alliance member in most cases.

Are you sure about that? I mean someone paid for the PLEX with real life money at some point right?
I mean technically ccp get paid when the plex is bought with rl money and not when people spend the plex, but kind of the same thing?

Right, but of course the person who bought the PLEX isn’t the one using it and they’d have bought it anyway.

I guess it’s all fun and games shouting “you just don’t know how to null!”, until CCP sees a sharp drop in revenue. Either less subscriptions or by PLEX price going waaay down - less incentive to bring that juicy dollarz.

I completely agree with you there with its ((mostly)) botters why are crying as bjornbee was saying last night who cares of they lose 500 subs getting 10 actual content creators (pvp booms building ect…) would be great. yes plex is dropping makes it easier for me to Nom it all up set a nice skill tree n wait it out a month or 2 then resell it when prices rise again for a nice big profit.

Actually if plex was cheaper i believe you would start to see an increase in activity, not just some dude with 12 rorqual toons… or 6 rorqs and 6 ‘afk’ vni toons…
Unless prices really do continue to drop for a long period of time which might lead to people not buying PLEX to sell but im confident that wont happen based on history. Hell. I haven’t bought PLEX in at least four years even though the price is (I think) double what it was back then so I dont think price is even that much of an issue.
PLEX are listed as deferred income for CCP. So yes, yes they do count as income for ccp when they are used, exactly the same as when someone actually purchases a fresh plex to sub
Every PLEX sold in game was paid for with real money by someone. So you’re dead wrong.

Buying 2 billion ISK with 15 dollars is one thing. Then suddenly you are spending same 15 dollars but getting only 1 billion or less. I’d ask myself do i really need that 15-dollar battlecruiser.
Yes, its supply and demand, the price should somewhat regulate itself BUT the total volume of PLEX market will reduce. Which subsequently means said drop in revenue.

usually cept ccp that all the time “in a certain balance” thats what i´ve heard … like that it dosnt drops too much in “ISK” idk if CCP interferes here again if it gets “too worse”

A while back I suggested that cloaked ships cannot D-scan or interact with probes in the AFK cloaky thread and all I got was the normal insults. It would improve the balance a bit. Good post.

Tbh i dont really like the idea but if they added to it, counters and counter counters, to give it some gameplay that could be fun; when i saw someone mention you could possibly dscan cloaked ships add in depth charges and a small plethora of other little things, mdules/rigs/weapon w/e an you have a working little niche game within a game - which to me is what i liked about eve in the first place.
