Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

When did I tell you to leave the game because you weren’t playing my way? When did I say you weren’t allowed to continue playing your way? When did I publicly support a change that disrupted your play style? Where am I judging anyone elses play style except being the judge of my play style and the changes CCP are making to it, which is what this entire topic is about.

So if I look at zkill I will see more player loses in highsec than nullsec? Or how do you determine nullsec is safer?

There is an issue when every single VNI warps to a station after being in system for less than 5 seconds after showing up in the local feed.

While there is a load of salt atm, null sec player in the end we will change and end up taking advantage of this change

as to being the only way to fight boting I don’t think so people have put forward loads of idea for it
best one yet imo is to remove static npc type thus you need to be able to change your tank for any given site along with not stating what type of site you are doing.

Sure, but how does it solve the problem of the automated notification about neutrals?

Ha ha ha … you made my day. Every ■■■■■■■ single Player in EVE is abusing rules to their Limits … that’s the anti-social part of EVE. And do you really think that botting-mining leets will go away because of null having no local ? Dream on. The winners will be the big alliances. Prices for Minerals will go through the ceiling and then the whiny pvplers will be the salty ones because there will be no ■■■■■■■ ships for them to buy to do pew pew. IF you want to hinder botting … make the Stones/asteroids move in different directions, make belts have less Minerals … so the botting fleets have to MOVE!
Shutting down local will only serve the big ones and not the smaller ones. You want to Change NS? Then learn to read the ■■■■■■■ data as this ■■■■■■■■-blackout will do Nothing except from keeping CUSTOMERS from this game. I hope the responsible idiot for this idea gets fired soon.

So CCP wants to remove all small and mining Corps from Null sec because they can’t defend themselves. Well that’s a great improvement!

Enough talk…end local now for null…start the 48 hour countdown now.

Lots of salt here. I think CCP will monitor it see how it goes and adjust accordingly. Currently you peeps in null sec are and feel safer than those in high sec, that is wrong and needs to be addressed, whether this is the answer, I am not sure. Buit anyone leaving, feel free to contract your stuff to me, ill make sure it is used properly.

If people in High sec don’t feel safe, then the CCP focus should be on changing High Sec rules!

By what metric are people in nullsec safer than people in highsec? I see this repeated so often but no one has ever said how they objectively came to this conclusion.

Cancelling subscription is well hidden on Account Management pages.

There is no “Cancel my subscription” button on “Subscription and payment” section on main page like a normal customer expects.

Instead the feature is in Game Time drop down menu only visible if you happen to open that menu.

Official guide is here.

Yes, i needed to read it before the thing was done.

because ive seen a number of people who live in null sec cry over recent changes and state that they felt safer in nullsec, so I am basing it on that.

Plus ive lived in various null sec systems, with all your intel channels your are safer, before most people get even close you are informed and ready, people that are caught are the ones generally that dont have intel open.

So basically what makes you call people of NS “salty whiners” is that These people work together as a Team? Well, interisting thought that being in a Team is a bad Thing ….

So due to effort by large groups players they as a team are safe against small numbers of players roaming into their space? And this makes it safer than highsec who has automatic responding instakill npc guards?

They already did. As of right now, it’s at 40h.

Well if it looks like salt, tastes like salt then its salt. But apart from that I am reading people just “yeah im giving up my account after 10 years” without even seeing what it is like after the change… If you feel you live in null together as a team then power to you, these changes wont make much difference, because as a team you will adapt, overome etc

Do you believe that Blackout would improve the current state of Nullsec?

Basically you say people cannot fathom the consequences of the last of 4 defense layers being stripped from them, making nullsec completely safe for ganktards.

Oh yes we can.

And the way it goes without pre-announcement is just literally been tailored to give no opportunity to complete unanchoring cycle for all the structures.

I am not gonna be a free content for my own money CCP. You wanna make nullsec dangerous? Make it dangerous to all, ganktards need some risk thrown at them.

NO, but (admittedly) depending which null sec group you belong to you have intel channels yes? you know of an enemy fleet way before it gets to where you are ratting or miniing so you can act accordingly, the very nature of tyhe blue doughnut is if they aint blue they are hostile, where as in high sec any idiot can be a ganker etc, so “feels” less safe than null. If your opinion differs then thats fine. ive been there, null sec bored me becuase its all blues for the most part
