Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Exactly. But there’s a special braindamaged category of players who can walk away from their PC in this supposedly dangerous space and be completely safe.
The whole point is, space should be dangerous for everybody, ganktard included, and this change does not do anything but remove the last bits of risk from ganktards.

10mil ISK says you are wrong.
In just two days we’ll see a major drop in all kind of kills, NPCs or players.

Ganks are highsec exclusive, anywhere else is just an alpha damage gang.

“Ganktards” again, were never at risk due to local, if they’re hunters then they signed off on their insurance bill and coffin before they undocked, because 7/10 times one of their target will drop a cyno and capbomb the hunters.

if you’re THAT concerned then get your corp to start running gatecamps or sit cloaked on the op sites.

There is no need to project your mentally challenged status on others. Without local there is no need to stay cloaked all the time. You can just log off and come back when needed. It is how it’s done in wh space. The only reason cloaky camping worked and cloaky ships were the whole time there is your natural fear of neutrals in local chat.

So the blackout will had to be extended for several months in order for CCP to get proper data instead of kneejerk overreaction with people not undocking and other variants of childish tantrums.

Again I didn’t claim to want a good fight, I explicitly stated here anyone roaming into TEST space and claiming they are looking for a good fight is lying because we will just drop caps on them. You are agreeing with me thinking its scoring point but we both agree how TEST space works.

I am calling out hypocrites in this thread and elsewhere who are celebrating this change because it will get them good fights, when what they actually want are shiny killmails. That is what people roam TEST space for, hoping to catch a super not paying attention so they don’t get dropped by caps.

Counter-hunters and gatecampers though.

It will, it will be easier to move caps, stage and drop on your little ■■■■ empire. It will be even better for the small scale gangers from wh space since it will be easier to tackle you and kill you b4 you can drop caps. Also F you and your space.

So you prefer the fast death to a slow decline?

A change to NS dynamic and meta is always better than stagnation we have now.

Who all fall victim to caps if things escalate.

If you think no local will allow you to come and dislocate TEST from Esoteria I welcome you to try. I am game for a large scale capital battle.

Deslocate? No. Getting dank frags, yes.

counterhunting won’t work, because if with local you knew an active hunter is coming and could set up your trap, now you don’t, and have to sit on your trap forever hoping there’s a ganktard out there who’s dumb enough to take the bait.

gatecamping won’t work because the overwhelming advantage is on the attacker, because he can observer the camp and choose to either engage if he wins, or leave if there’s a chance to lose a ship. Either way is loss for defender, either lost ship or lost time with no fight, therefore making it pointless and time better spent playing actuall pvp games.

You call Docking a Kneejerk reaction why is it not prudent planning not to become a easy target

So would you like to have SBUs back? Hey, it’s a change too, it’s better than stagnation, amirite?
Hope that teaches you not every change is better.

Been needing a null shake up like this for a while. Too many supercaps. Less safe crabbing is good with me

i didnt say that. I said not undocking is kneejerk reaction. These are 2 completely different things

Most of them are probably going to roam or camp the routes to bloc space rather than bloc space itself.

Please elaborate on the difference between Docking and Not Undocking.
