The longer you stay docked, the less you mine and the less you rat for ISK. That means for everyone else who has a spine, our ore becomes more valuable, and our ISK becomes more valuable.
Cowards lose out and those with a spine will grow.

I think we need to see where this goes. It could be good or it could be bad. We wont know till we try it. CCP knows that this could not be received well and that is why it states that:
The duration of this blackout is undetermined, and weâll be monitoring what effect this has on the cluster.
@CCP_Falcon @CCP_Fozzie @Every Other CCP Member I really enjoyed how all announced this and can wait to see the fruits of your labor.
â salt this way â
We dont need gamers like you. youâre not a real Eve player.
Have you not heard of limiting your loss??? Or taking it in turns to provide security/intel?
I bet you want to rat in null with 5 billion worth of shiny ship huh? TOUGH!!! Get in a battlecruiser with some buddies and do what you can and have fun, when they attack have fun trying to kill them, what ever the outcome say âgfâ in local then go back to station with your buddies and work out a way to play so you have good low cost ships, some buddies doing the same, and at least somewhat of a plan to defend yourself if attacked.
Why is that so hard to do?
Thatâs the whole problem.
This change has the main point of removing any risk from ganktard gameplay. It is now 100% safe to gank in null. No danger is involved.
If you want to make nullsec dangerous, it should be dangerous to everyone, including ganktards.
Historically nullsec was a lot safer when it had many more layers of defense: bubbles that were manageable not taking tens of hours to reanchor (only bots can do that now), gravimetric sigs making you scan down miners before you could jump them instead of warping to ore anom, tons of buffer systems because par for attacking them was too high, etc. They were all nerfed out of existence, only two remains: local and supercap umbrellas. I dare you to tell me what should people without supercap umbrellas do when the last line of defense is nerfed?
How should this happen? What would you like to see changed to make it dangerous for âganktardsâ ?
bewareâŚyou are asking for a coherent answer from someone who thinks that CCP has removed bubbles.
we need bads like you even less.
Define real eve player. Feeding you free a barge kill is real eve play?
Used to, though I never blinged that much.
Could you explain how getting into a shitty ship is fun?
If they have a chance to lose, they will not attack. They are risk-averse chickens who only attack when they win. If they think thereâs 1% chance to lose a ship, they will not attack, and you will only lose your playtime. Odds are stacked in attackerâs favor too much for any possibility of fun.
gtfo you mean. there is no possibility of gf with how risk-averse ganktards are, they will not take it.
So that we feed to every kikimora gang passing by? The way of nullsec is to drop caps on stuff you donât want in your space, otherwise why are you in a nullsec?
itâs a plan to attract every ganktard in the galaxy on a prospect of free feed. 100% stupid.
Because that would achieve opposite of the intended goal.
Itâs clear heâs an absolute coward and an idiot. I just want some more popcorn and laugh at the dumb change he tries to propose to help his lack of a spine further.
sarcasm in itâs finest \o/
by now I think that he is a big troll. No one can be really that stupid and devoid of reality.
I limited it to 0 by not undocking. Feeling outplayed yet?
Discussed a dozen times in this thread, wonât work because covert cyno cloaky ganktards are already confirmed with locator agent to be logged off inside constellation. Without local, they are absolutely safe from any security or intel.
Tell that to the trashes that didnât even sub before ganking in nullsec didnât become 100% safe.
Thereâs loads of those in this thread, train your reading.
You should also monitor how many people leave Null for the entirety of the blackout. I for one will be enjoying Hi/Lo Sec until this âexperimentâ ends. After nerfing the Rorqual and Supers, no one with a brain will field anything of value in Null while it is pseudo -WH space, not unless they already have a serious game imbalance in their favor like cap umbrellas.
For the record, even 16 years in, I havenât the first clue about how to bot (I also donât care so please donât explain), and never have more than 2 accounts logged in at a time. Just thought I would mention that as the first reaction by people, seems to be that people who donât like the blackout are botters. I just donât want to lose 1/2 a month of work replacing a ship because CCP thinks itâs cute to eliminate local as an âeventâ.
To evaluate if this experiment even makes sense, one has to ask how many people would just unsub if the change was permanent. Iâm guessing that most people would live in WH space if that is what they wanted to do, they donât so I suggest a permanent change like that would kill this game. Also, as they donât, I suspect the real truth is that something is going wrong in the 64-bit client involving processor or memory loads because of local, and this âexperimentâ is a cover for that. It wouldnât be the first time CCP was having issues with local chat. Just a thoughtâŚ
How is it 100% safe? You can just fight backâŚ
But if you just sit in your structures and donât come out to play the nasty Drifters may attack you and all your goodies will end up in asset safety.
Until CCP decide that you are not defending them in which case, has anyone suggested removing asset safety from Null yet or at least having to pay insurance up front for the privilege ?
you guys realize Orca Platypus is a troll right? everyone is feeding him.
Oh, please do tell me how a barge can fight back 40k alpha blops hotdrop.
Let me guess, donât be in a barge. Not in any subcap, as a matter of fact. Even better, not in space, that would do it.
Thatâs the whole point - if itâs 99% chance of success, risk-averse ganktards will not attack, until they amassed enough bombers to bump the success chance back to 100%.
Having them attacking afk cloakers instead wouldâve been way more hilarious.
Oh gee, maybe we should make ganktards defend something for the privilege of ganking in null, and judge how they would fare at it.
huh? Developing a standard for type and ship names is trivially easy and been done for years by wormhole corps to make dscans extremely useful at exactly what youâre claiming they are worthless at.
