Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Yep.

People get like this when they think they are about to win something or when they think someone they dislike is about to get hurt. All those people cheering on dominion sov were so short sighted that they thought they were celebrating goons and the big blocs getting screwed, when in fact they were cheering on so.ething that made goons and the b8g blocks bigger and richer…

So telling someone “this will be great for you and bonus, it will screw.
over those guys you hate that you blame for you misery” is a potent real world selling tool lol.

Its Also stupid. I can’t say this is what will happen, but ive warmed up my laughing muscles just in case…

The “Ganktards” in their systems wont have any targets either, not because they are docked up but because they are using the blackout to their advantage.

Really it’s just silly speculation by both of us - you don’t know what will happen - for all you know it will be business as usual and you’re just wasting your time twiddling your thumbs in a station when you could be out carebearing the crap out of some rocks.

Thanks for a good question that gets us back on topic!

It makes null more dangerous than high-sec.

People that like risks and think null-sec is currently boring and stale applaud the change. I’m one of those who think this change is wonderful.

Those that abhor risk and like things just the way they are: safe with easy and accurate intel provided by the local channel, are rather upset. I’m laughing at each of their panicked, “sky is falling”, “Eve will die” “I will unsub” whinge posts.

what stage of grief are all the carebaers on right now? i think we’re getting past the bargaining stage

Haven’t seen many local restoration structure posts (bargaining 3/5) but an increase in “I’ll unsub” and “I’ll stay docked for the duration” posts so… Depression 4/5 moving towards acceptance 5/5 is my guess.

Damnit, didn’t want to weigh in on this but as both you and Maria_Dragoon have got it wrong on one very important aspect I feel I have to.
There was less than 100 more stealth bombers died in that period than mining barges and exhumers.

Difference is - MANY of those stealth bombers would have been lost GANKING defenceless Freighters in highsec. When was the last time you saw a fleet of Mining barges gank a Freighter in highsec?

*I’m not agreeing with Orca in any way but had to point out the error in your “stats”

I dunno, what we’re seeing is split between ‘who cares, light cyno’ and ‘oh, good, I get to boson idiots on gates’. But I haven’t polled the rest of null.

Lets pray for “happy accidents” of boson hitting friendly fleet jumping in.

I’m hoping he is there bosoning on his own - And I’m in the fleet that cynos in behind him and catches him :stuck_out_tongue:

NB; Sorry Arrendis but i think that would be so much fun

Another comment for new readers to the topic - the blackout helps create a little more risk to the main beneficiaries of the right side of this graph.

Those are both acceptance states (5/5), we were talking about where the carebears that dislike the change are on the scale, so either you’ve accepted it at the onset or have progressed through to the final stage.
It also seems like you’ve missed a huge number of posts in the thread, but at 6156 posts and counting, that’s understandable.

…as opposed to hisec and lowsec ratting… which isnt even a thing?

This is like saying “there are MOAR supercapitals in nullsec than WORMHOLES therefore WORMHOLES HOULD BE BUFFED TO GIVE MORE ORE”

It’s not even logical. Different areas provide different things, Dumbass

Gonna need some graphs. Fairly sure the number of them used to gank freighters isn’t that high. Definitely not enough to make up for the barges not killed by bombers.

It doesn’t, because they are in a super, ratting under supercap umbrella, and care not for local.
All it does is decreasing risk for ganktards to 0%.

You don’t have to call me a dumbass to get me to consider your arguments, and you actually have one.

You shouldn’t call them ganktards - really they are only opportunists picking off the low hanging fruits like you

That isn’t the comparison I was making but ok - Show me your graphs when you have them…

Honestly, fair point. Out of line on my end.

The low is their game, they won’t be anywhere near me though, because I won’t log in, and neither will anyone else who actually knows his corn.

Man, that sounds like a boring eve experience.
