i haven’t flagged the 1st couple of times he posted that crap (not sure about “others” tho, they may have felt offended/annoyed for some other reason(s)). So don’t try to shift the blame on me here.
Off topic posts are against the forum rules my dude, just saying. He was threatening a class action lawsuit about mostly irrelevant things… I also only flagged 2 completely off-topic posts.
Doesn’t matter, he can claim he’s doing a law suit all he wants. This is a discussion thread about the Local Blackout which opens this thread up to all kinds of side topics.
True, but gankers used to warp to those before blackout in the chance of catching someone there.
Its no difference now, just more risky, you don’t even really need to use a cloaked ship, as most in these sites are too busy to look at dscan.
Except now you have no idea they’re there, and I’ve literally seen it already with an sb cloaked in a relic site… it’s not hard, it’s easy to find the busy systems and it’s easy to just sit there and wait…afk as long as you want/need to get kills…
Not shifting blame, you clearly admitted that you’re flagging his posts when you posted a reply to my statement that was directed to Aetran Molou who clearly admitted that he’s flagging those posts too.
EDIT:
All this unnecessary flagging is creating extra work for CCL ISD. If you don’t like the characters viewpoint, just use the block option.
Technically forum moderation talk is also restricted unless you’re a mod… but here you go. He clearly broke a lot of rules. That’s all I’m gonna say as to not break any myself. Policy
Well if someone wants to wait at a site cloaked, they could do that before, after all with local it only shows whose in system, not where they are if beyond your scan range.
So site would show, in overview and any ship within scan range would to. But if site was beyond scan range ships there wouldn’t be detected, cloaked or not. You’d only see them once you got in range.
All blackout has done is removed the knowledge of whose in system, nothing more, nothing less.
The threat of someone waiting at sites cloaked or not is still the same as before.
I started playing around apocrypha, so 2009 I wanna say? And I really don’t care what DID cause change, especially since we’re discussing something brand new. I’d rather have new content that engages player creativity rather than artificial modifications of stats and time-sinks, and it seems the only reason you disagree is because you need to pay more attention/engage more with other players.
Not talking about moderation, talking about you and a few others abusing the forum Flag option.
Everyone gains from the blackout, except bots and multibox players.
You misspelled loses.
You lost target and have to roam empty space.
I lost my playtime and crunching numbers instead of it.
but only if they stay cloaked .
Incorrect, because null has cynos.
Imagine for a second that you get a wormhole ship that is able to spawn a hole right on top of you right to his home system right to the point where his buddies are waiting. This is how cyno works for wormhole dummies.
He broke the rules and I used the report system… That’s not abuse in any way lol. Report me if you have a problem.
Already did

goodbye eve online.
If you contract me your stuff before you leave, I will invest it into a diverse portfolio of assets on your behalf and some day you can return to the kind of immeasurable wealth that can only be achieved through the infinite power of compound interest.
I’m calling it the Independent REEEEEEEtirement Account.
Where did i mention anything about wormholes in that post?
I guess you have trouble reading judging by what others have posted in response to other posts you have made.
Cryos has always been an issue, but till now the only reason systems weren’t actively attack by means of cryo’ing fleets in, was the whole red, blue in locak warning of a ship in system.
Now instead of being lazy corps/alliances have to monitor gates, have patrols and response fleets on standby to stop someone sneaking through the gate and finding a local to launch a cryo.
To be honest that was possible before, only difference was the local blue players had a massive warning by means of a red or neutral showing in local.
Now there’s now easy/lazy warning, corps/alliances now have to actively monitor points on entry into their systems.
And many of these corps/alliances have been asking for more excitement and risk in nullsec for years, now they have it.
As many have said its mainly the afk, multibox and bot players complaining about the lose of local. And most have skill injected into nullsec and have no real experience of how to really play EVE.
If you read Reddit zkills has posted that he is behind the blackout and currently trying to make a delayed killboard to mirror it in its reporting of nullsec kills.
So those that think zkills is down in support of thoses against the blackout have no idea.
Eve 2010: Living in null should be hard!
Eve 2019: Dying in null should be hard!
More like:
EVE 2010: Living in null should take work.
EVE 2019: How DARE you expect all that work to pay off?!?!
And I really don’t care what DID cause change
Then please stop weighing in, because if you don’t want to understand what has motivated people to change their habits, you won’t understand what will motivate people to change their habits, and you’ll basically be contributing nothing but static.
Remove Dscan from cloaked ships I think would even the play out quite a bunch. My 2c
Hunter: you have to probe location of target or cyro fleet in.
A large proportion of ratting anoms are green so you can find them with D-Scan
- Solution make them Red so you need to scan them giving the ratter a chance to see the hunters probes.
