Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Well boy are you in for some good news! Since, as you’ve claimed, even the tardiest of the ganktards won’t fall for that bait, you should be able to safely undock and mine in a procurer in peace while being wholly ignored by ganktards because you’re obviously bait.

I’ve just solved all of your problems, you are very welcome.

Having procurers on a killmail doesn’t prove anything.
Having procurers on a belt is not mining, that’s self-ganking for lost yield.
Even if I’m wrong (unlikely) - this is once-in-a-lifetime success against ganktards with literally zero clue how to ganktard, and he’ll never bite again, just as anyone capable of intel, unless he can beat everything on that br. In other words, even if it’s the best verion of events you’re trying to present, congrats, you achieved nothing, and lost your playtime in process.

This would never have happen if there was local

  • without Local, nullsec is more dangerous than wormholes.
  • with local it’s a kindergarten with a built in early warning system ( Red in-comming run…away ), stupidity & bad luck excepted, you should never loose a ship.

What is a ganktard, cause everytime someone post something clearly showing you are wrong, you change the definition of ganktard…

Could it be that you define ganktard as someone that doing something you don’t like?

crickets

A “Ganktard” is someone who disrupts the carebear “Safety Entitlement”

Wow, look at this hero! Burned up multiple lifetimes of procurer baiting success just yesterday!

I understand you completely. There are those that scoff and deride those that have a different play style. I like to think that CCP put PI, research, invention and other non PVP activities in game to cater to those of us that enjoy a mutifacedted gameplay. small corps and renter groups have never considered null to be :safe" we simply don’t have the manpower to umbrella our efforts. If the new normal is to NOT be in null, then we needed more than a fw days to move our stuff… So in the meantime we shut down our alt accounts . My perception this is an event and whether the end of the event is new structures, technology , or no change , I will evaluate then and decide what my new gameplay will be.
its time to show respect for the variety of gameplay that makes up EVE.

Probably not, because it would’ve been more dangerous, and wormholers are known chickens.

Glad you realized it.

Still not, because there are ways to catch people even with local. Blue tackle exists, login traps exist, drag bubble camps exist, hell, look at SV5-8N, catching people every day.
None of this ■■■■ even matters in wormhole chicken space.

I’m glad I’m not alone

There you go again, you are getting mad…(or constipated), here a suggestion! Either eat more fiber, or try you hand at other activities so that you can understand both sides of the argument, as most PVPers understand PVE content…Because they require a source of income to fund their PVP activities…However most dedicated PVErs do not understand PVP activities cause they never seem to try it.

Brilliant logic! Since Hitler carefully planned out his attack on Belgium, he deserved to win!

In needs to be dangerous - Children play in a kindergarten.

And as I said Null + Local = stupid & bad luck being the only reason you should loose a ship.

How are the login numbers look like? - Anyone got some data on that?
Oh and if we leave the blackout in place permanentely, can we please remake dscan in a way that does not induce carpnel tunnel syndrom?

To be fair, Blitzkrieg was an amazing strategy that worked so well, many NATO countries incorporated it into their modern battle strategies, his other plans on the other hand didn’t pan out as well due to many variables that he either didn’t accounted for or simply ignored. One too many of these bad calls ended up causing the collapse of his entire war front

IE: I’ve read a history book or two, back when history was required to graduate from high school. =)

and increase the range. 14 AU is basically on top of you.

Null with Local is SO easy:
Blue tackle = Stupidity in setting them blue or bad luck cause you didn’t know they were a spy.
Login in trap - Reds in system off-line in system, probably a login trap, so stupid if you get caught.
Drag bubble = requires you to be moving thru space with reds, so not really a case but you can still see them in local and check z-kill to see how they fight.

that doesn’t tell me how many are alts and where they are located (hi, low or null sec) I see there are about 25K on right now. safe to say about 2k are in jita, and probably the same for the other hubs.
