Local is probably never going away in NS

Meh, thats like saying NS and HS are currently alike cos both have Local.

From that perspective, removing Local from NS makes it less alike than HS, thus reducing existing homogeneity.

The Op basically wants CCP to remove local for some ships and not showing up on local is an aspect of game play and special feature of wormholes. With the introduction of the OPs idea wormholes become less special since this form of game play is now available in nullsec. While nullsec becomes more like wormholes. It is a loss for both areas of game play due to increasing homogeneity. When and If the OP brings highsec into the discussion we can talk about it but so far he has said nothing about changes to highsec.

I don’t have any clue whilst you are attempting to explain cyno fitting to me. Let me explain this again. Either there is local, and I can see the cyno pilot or there is not local, and I cannot see a covert cyno set at a 16au deep safe. There is no longer any point roaming around in a no local scenario, you would collectively sit alts in every system of interest, that way bypassing any gate watching. If you had an alliance of 1000 people its feasible to cover pretty much every dead end area in the game.

Its a design decision leading towards some kind of relentless tedium. If its a citadel module then we have to mine more fuel for it. If its a spammable then we’ll fill the system with them. If its a 1 module deal, then we’ll just not do anything whilst its not up. If it becomes the game where I drop one at a safe, and as soon as it starts anchoring it becomes visible and gets destroyed all the time, then I’ll just literally stop playing the game.

and thats somehow a ■■■■■■■ positive ?
lol.

Only if one subscribes to the theory that increased tedium is a good thing.

At what point did I say it was good?

I’ve stated several times that it will make everyone’s lives more difficult. It will add tedium for locals and make hunters take a lot longer to find targets. I’m simply saying the locals will lose less and have an easier time adjusting than hunters will.

I don’t think removing local makes a lot of sense personally. Making it harder to find other people does not lead to more in game interaction in my experience.

Yup, this goes hand in hand with WH space is not a solution to the remove local discussion.

So IB “Just go to WH space” comes up again…

Comparing NS to WH is not valid or relevant on the point of Local.

This is about whether NS should have Local removed, not whether WH should have Local installed.

Tedium supplies high, build more silos.

EVE has carebears and PVPers.

Their interests, unfortunately, are largely mutually exclusive and antagonistic,

It was a RTS joke.

More pylons required.

I KNOW THAT, goddamit

Sorry man, sometimes I cant tell.

Our senses of humour often seem polarised.

Its certainly a driving factor in our friction.

You love it as much as I do.

Lol I cannot disagree with that!

Returning to topic:

As much as I think from a design perspective it would make sense to remove Local from NS, the meta/culture of the game is so far entrenched regarding this that it just isnt feasible anymore.

If the goal is to increase PvP in NS, it will have to take another approach.

Depends on why the person is posting remove local, when it is a fail WH player who relies on no local to get kills in pimp T3C’s then it is perfectly alright to call him out on it. I repeat he needs to get better at Eve, simple as that…

Show me on the doll…

That is rather an old one and if truth be known a bit sad, also people tend to use one liners like that when they have no reply to what was said, which you do not. Those people should stay in WH space and leave nullsec to the big boys and their big toys.

But the better WH players come out with the right tools for the job and get kills, did that touch your rebuke button?

Whats to respond, your post was pure whine that had no facts whatsoever.

Doll…, whine…, running out of one liners mate? :sunglasses:

Before Local is never going away in High sec
