Another troll thread to allow the doom mongers to congregate and have a very merry soiree.
How many threads must there be of this same topic.
I was so close to bite but didn’t.
At least one more (I did bite).

It’s just one boring safe zone of 51 systems. Nobody in their right mind is gonna whine about it ad nauseam and nobody with any balls is gonna quit the game for this. Jeez. 99% of the game is still there.
Yes, but 1% of it is now “safe”. lol
Why are you proposing a forums challenge? Christine won’t like it.
Pretty sure it’s n+1
Who? …
Seems im still a very vivid image in a few peoples heads around here.
Some folks cant handle brutal honestly. Im just here to keep a thin even coat of it around here.
Enjoy.

With me, it is not about love or hate. This is just not something I would expect to be found in a PvP first and foremost game. It is the white elephant in the room. I just don’t believe it will accomplish anything more than becoming obsolete.
Here is what I would have done, if I were Fenris, Recreate the hand holding tutorial where the new player gets a real decent ship at the end, when they don’t skip it. Have the tutorial run for a few hours long to explain a lot more than the original ever did. As for safety, have the tutorial run with the new player in an offline mode where the other players can’t see them or talk to them. Once the hand holding tutorial is complete, it drops them off in their trade hub ending with a market tutorial. Any attempt to do something else during the tutorial, asks the player, “Do you wish to end the tutorial and forfeit your reward?”.
I can only imagine players will hate my idea too. However it would not add another system to the universe. It wouldn’t boot you out of the safety without permission or allow abuse of the safety. It would take a single day or two ( depending on the player ) to finish the tutorial.
Have fun!
Boy, are you playing the wrong game. There many other safe space mmo’s out there. You should try them.
No Man’s Sky, Elite Dangerous, and X4 being three off the top of my head…
I would also say that, absent PvP, all of these games are more fun than Eve.
I was playing this with my son once, I fell out off my ship and died. It took it while, but yes, I did die.

The offspring is busy playing Subnautica 2. He has zero interest in EVE, lol.
EVE IS ENDING!!!

I think my son has that one too. I will ask him later today, right now I am getting ready for dialysis. I normally just have my husband get me up, but today, I was extra bad and stayed up late playing games this morning. My bgl was 50 and my tire pressure was low too. Now I got all this extra helpers swarming me right now.
I never take anything very serious.
Have fun!
I think it’s a pre-release, as the full version isn’t out yet (he and his cousin have been looking for anything unusual they can exploit)…
Ah yeah, was beginning to worry this type of reply would never show up… ![]()
There will be as many threads about it as there needs to be, honeybuns, and that’s coming from a 20 year old vet.
Going ahead with the splitting of the game’s demographic in 2 separate zones has clearly worked SO WELL for every open pvp mmo that ever existed.
