I’ve recently thought about giving this game another go. I’ve been away for 15 years. That is a long time. I’ve been a much younger man back then. I have logged on to see that everyone I knew way back no longer plays. This game to me is dreadful when going at it alone, so I’m hoping I may be able to find a small community like I had before as that was really where the fun was at.
I’m hoping to find a small group of friendly players to play the game with. I don’t mind any aspect of this game, most of it is quite fine with me.
Way back in 2004 I played an explorer with a small wormhole-based corp. I flew my Anathema and was skilling for a Pilgrim. I was also just getting into mining. The main reason for drifting away from the game beside RL happening was the time zone issue. I’m on EU time, playing during the day (as I work nights) and the corp was mostly US based.
I’m generally laid back and don’t do well when pushed to tasks. EvE was and is a game to me, so high-demanding corps aren’t likely where I’ll stick around or do well. I’m not looking for a third job.
If there’s anyone that’d be interested in adding another member to their crew, I’d be happy to give EVE another shot, see what’s new, try out some new areas of the game. I never really got to experience many aspects of EVE and would like to give it a go with a friendly group of like-minded people.
Oh, and I didn’t think I’d need to add this part, but this is EVE after all, and I still somewhat remember what it was like, in the cruel open sandbox… For the love of god, don’t bother trying to scam me by dragging my assets into null sec and plundering them. There really isn’t much I have that’d be worth the effort. You’d get more ISK doing pretty much anything else.
I’m leaving a link to my character if any’d find it relevant.
Hey bud, sounds like you should come on back to wormholes!
We’ve got some solid EU players (mostly UK, Finland, Sweden) who focus on microgang, small gang, and hunting. If you’re a bit later EU, you’ll also be able to run into our USTZ
I’ve looked into your corp and I am tempted, but according to the website you’re quite hardcore (Nice website btw!) and I will sure as hell need some handholding to get back into things. I’ll definetly consider the offer though, thanks!
Welcome back to the game. I’d love to invite you to join our group Filthy Peasants out in lowsec if you’d like to give it try. I also saw you said your EU and went inactive due to being in a US TZ corp. I don’t want you to have to go through the same experience as we are also a majority US TZ corp. We are working on growing our EU TZ and EU TZ is more active in our area in terms of potential targets but we as a group aren’t very active until after 19:00 EVE time.
If your times are more flexible now feel free to check out our forum post and join our public chat Open Filth in game and we can talk.
Welcome back and I hope you enjoy yourself enough to stick around
You should consider Shepards of Mettle! They are a small and tightknit but active corp in the Federation Uprising alliance, a Nullsec PVP alliance based in Immensea as part of Legacy Coalition. We’ve got a friendly group of dudes that love shooting things together.
If you’re interested in learning more, here’s our public recruitment Discord: FEDUP Public
Thank you for all the new replies! I’m looking through all of your suggestions and drawing up pros and cons, so keep them coming till final decision is made.
Again, thank you very much for the warm welcome.
@Arctanis, That really looks like something I’d like to try. I never got much of a chance for null sec life, but yea, if you start playing at 19;00 EU time, I’d spend most of my playtime alone, sadly. I am looking over the guild recruitment page though!
@CaseyLP, I might drop by the discord later on and ask a few questions, see what’s what, thank you very much for the offer!
@BearThatCares, the same to you. I’m also going to swing by the Discord most likely, see what you’re all up to! Thanks for the invite!
We’re a fun laidback group of space chikuns who like to blow stuff up together. You should join us on discord sometime to chat about Fweddit, http://discord.fweddit.space/.
Fweddit is a member of the Free Range Chikuns alliance which is an independent poultry-loving group that specializes in blops drops, cap drops, and small gang fights. We operate mostly during the US and Late EU time zones. We’re looking for pilots to join and come blow up other people’s ships with us. Regardless of if you’re an EVE vet who’s killed trillions of ISK worth of ships or a new pilot who wants to learn how to PVP then we’ve got a spot for you.
Join us in our discord so we can chat. Feel free to ping me (@Attack Penguin#0001) in Discord when you join if you want to chat. If I’m not around when you join you can ping any of the other recruiters by typing @Human Resources.
I wouldn’t rely on zkills for correct information.
As for his activity, who knows he might of jumped on eve back in 2012 for a bit.
Making a blanket judgement can be completely wrong. I have corp m8’s that have next to no kills or deaths on zkills, and those that do show are only from those that logged their eve api into it, so zkills never gives a full picture of a character, only what people want to show.
But you’ve played long enough that you already know that, based on your posts.
Oh my, Seems I’ve upset someone on the forums. @dewk is quite right in his asumption, I did in fact mix up the years and the latest I was in the game was with the Wormhole Rippers in 2011, which… you can see under my employment history. So it’d be a very poor thing to lie about on purpose. And is exactly why I’ve linked my character.
In any case, I know how sensitive some people on the forums are, so I’m terribly sorry to have triggered you @VeryBadLarry. I hope this clears it up and you can count it as my apology.
In any case, I’m going to check out the ingame PMs as soon as I get some minor work done, thanks!
