Trigs already took his stuff. All that is left is his dignity. Work-in-progress
He still has his dignity. He did not whine or complain, he simply stated a fact and asked how many others suffered the same fate. He will recover, no problem with that attitude.
I donāt think he had any catalysts or vexors. It sounded like it was just a bunch of PI junk and industrial waste.
Like who would want someoneās hanger junk?
or just, you know, read local and corp chats, where this stuff has been talked about for MONTHSā¦!
This is basically the approach I am taking.
I had a lot of rare ships parked in Sakenta that I had collected over the ten years I had been playing Eve off and on. I took a three year break due to family issues, and came back two days before the patch that made Sakenta essentially unreachable.
Iāll admit, I was salty AF about the stuff I had stuck in Trig space, but eventually someone will figure out a way to make money rescuing that stuff. Thatās how Eve works. If thereās a need, and people are willing to pay, some dumb idiot will figure out how to make it work.
Dumb idiot?
This is CCPās biggest problem it seems. We, either individually or collectively figure the game out the faster then CCP. Now it seems they just gave up and said go fight trigs.
Edit; ok, one of its biggest problems to me.
Itās not like thatās new. Eve Online players have always beenā¦letās call it inventive. You have to be in a game where loss matters, and the learning curve arcs back over itself.
CCP hasnāt been really good at responding to that fact for at least the last five years or so. Save for the expansion we shall not name, May the Door Forever Remain Closed, Ah-men, the content they put out is good(-ish), for some definition of the word āgoodā. Where they really stumble is trying to balance challenging the older players with attracting the new ones. And they always have.
Yeah, but itās not just that. He also had to have had his head under a rock. I mean, people first started talking about gates getting turned off in early April when it was seen in a trailer. And everyone one and their grandma has been speculating what will happen with final liminality systems. I have no sympathy for someone who completely isolates themselves from the wider community AND then doesnāt even bother to read the patch notes. I mean, I guess CCP could have given a more specific warning through something like an in-game pop up, but they have been leaving clues through official channels that this day would come for the past 6 months. Thus, the only guys I sympathize with are the ones who have been on break for longer than that. Fortunately, they can still get their stuff out, but Iād understand if they were upset.
Ah, but his stuff is safe in an NPC station. It may require a fair amount of effort on his part to get it out, but itās still there.
On the other hand guys who missed the heads up for Forsaken Fortressā¦
Where was the article posted?
Just CCP things⦠They have this asset safety system in place, but they are more than willing to let people lose all their assets. First brain fart was that offline structure change, now this⦠More to come soon im sureā¦
Theyād better reconsider then, thatās a red line for many players who arenāt total masochists.
Pull up the killboard for that system (or region) and message some active players for an entrance. Give them a tip once you get in.
Dignity? The forums will take whatās left of that.
As I understand it you may be able to acquire a filament which will deposit you into known space (I donāt think you can put a freighter through it, so may require multiple DST trips) depending on your standings to edencom/trigs this could be a safe (if not expensive) way to extract your assets.
Yes, if you have capital sized assets in any of the trig systems selling is your best bet, depending on what it is you may find someone willing to pay a premium

Cypr3ss.
R081 only allows Bowheads through. Nothing bigger.
And itās also deadspace 80km off as all trig WHs
For one week ā¦
⦠and you somehow managed not to be aware of whatās going to happen.
I call ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā .
Iāve made billions from those ā¦
⦠together with my corpmate.
So did many, many others.
Why didnāt you?
Or a mail! Imagine theyād have sent a mail!
Everyone would have known!
(PS for the unaware ā¦
⦠who apparently exist : CCP sent out mails urging everyone to evacuate their stuff from the systems way ahead of time)
whot?
