Makes me wonder ‘bout somethin’. If we can get CCP to make changes for everythin’ the whiny whine about, but with the twist that it only increases the options for being self aware, vigilant and self responsible, then they’d be ■■■■■■ for good.
Initially I thought renting seems like a smart idea, but now I see that when it attracts self entitled bungholes who don’t belong into this game or possibly on the streets, then ■■■■ 'em all by giving them what sorts them out. That’ll not make 'em shut up in the long run, but it’d still be a good direction for ccp to take.
Deep safes aren’t 100%, as you can be scanned down.
POS bubbles can be shot and destroyed.
Oh, so, you’re telling me that you can tell when they’re asleep?
Or does “weak-willed psychology” mean that I should put 2B isk worth of essentially defenseless ships on field to be targeted and dropped whenever AFK becomes not AFK.
Well, the jerks, assholes, trolls, scammers, and griefers have won another battle in Eve.
-5 accounts. I’m out. Because of cloaky camping. I’m not paying money to have a game that someone else can continually prevent you from doing what you want, with no way to fight back.
I would encourage any industrialist who is wasting money/time sitting in station because of cloaky camping to do the same.
CCP… if you ever decide to fix your hypocrisy on this matter, email me.
You can mine or rat with cloakies in local just not at max capacity or with heavy assets like rorquals unless you got support.
If you feel so entitled to do it with heavy assets get support and work together instead of each man for himself
If you haven’t played before, leaving because of a cloaky camper means you’re no loss. If you’ve played before, then there’s zero reason not to keep playin’, 'cause there’s lots’a things to do elsewhere.
You guys aren’t bein’ rational. If the campers really were an issue, everyone in null would be havin’ these so called problems. They don’t. They don’t give a ■■■■, ‘cause they know they’re bein’ played 99 out of 100 times anyway and there’s no one waitin’ to hot drop on 'em.
The “asshole”‘s arguments are based on the idea that you’re hidin’ from someone of whom you don’t know if he’s there without caring about checkin’ or baiting. If ya’ can’t deal with that, then you don’t belong to nullsec period. Your five accounts are worth only as much content as you create and that appears to be zero, so there’s no loss.
Ya don’t belong there and you don’t deserve to stay there. That’s not me being an asshole, that’s just the hard, butt naked truth. The asshole here is you, 'cause you don’t care about changes that affect all cloaky players just so you and your few other whiners can play in perfect safety in an environment balanced for high risk.
Too-diddelly-hoo, CCP cares diddely-squat about you, just likely we do.
What on earth were the devs thinking? Why, after admitting many players have voiced their dissatisfaction of AFK cloakers, do CCP continue to ignore it?
This is just one mechanic many of us have asked CCP to change for years and they continue to be ignorant towards it. I care about creating a dynamic game play and this is just ■■■■ and CCP and the CSM continue to ignore it.
Or CCP could simply rename the cloaking device to the crippling fear device since you are scared of the invisible boogie man in local. Cloak tears are the best tears…
You cant ignore something that doesn’t need to be fixed. Riddle me this. If Johni Cloak is afk. How is she a threat?
Nothing to fix. Nothing to ignore.
It’s not ignorant. If they’re afk cloakers, then they are by definition afk. If they aren’t afk, then they are just cloakers. If the complaint is about afk cloakers, then the qualifier here is, quite specifically, AFK. If the complaint is just about cloakers, then the complaint is about tactical gameplay and being outsmarted by your enemies. The reason it won’t be ‘fixed’ is because it’s not broken.
