just disable dscan if you’re cloaked?
You can’t dscan when AFK. That would be a pointless change that nerfs hunters actively playing the game and provides an effective buff to ratters and botters.
It would also have huge implications for j-space even though the whine is from null.

Then pardon my ignorance, what is the problem with someone who is not even playing the game sitting cloaked in a system? People mad that local isn’t empty for them to rat “safely”?

I don’t think anyone says that though.
They can’t hurt anyone when they are AFK, however the complaints come from botters and AFK ratters who don’t have enough initiative to move to a different system and want to be able to hunt them when they are AFK, kill them freely at no risk and then rat completely risk free without being hurt in the feels.
When the cloaky camper is active and hunting though, they are very much a threat and there is nothing wrong with that. They provide a player-driven counter to free ISK in nullsec and player-driven counters are much better than a different crowd whining that ratting ticks should be nerfed in nullsec because the risk is too low (which is also another option to combine with a cloak nerf - nerf ratting rates to reduce the reward associated with the reduced risk).

Damn. You want explorers to die easily. This issue is not just about cloaky camping. Exploration is a branch of eve online gameplay. Cloaking and D-scan is part of explorers survival. Hunters are skilled pvper’s If you can’t dscan while cloak, they will just use recon ships to scout.
why not limit cloak to 1 hour, after 1 hour u have to wait 15 min to cloak again
