If the situation isn’t resolved shortages and price spikes will become common
lol no.
If you buy from a sell order, you pay Sales Tax.
If you sell to a buy order, you pay sales tax (transaction tax, to be precise).
If you create a sell order, you pay ST and BF.
If you create a buy order, you pay BF instantly and ST every time someone sells stuff to you.
To break it down: If you instantly buy/sell something, you pay 1 tax. If you have orders, you pay 2 taxes. There is no confusion here, no logical reason that create “price spikes” or anything.

The tax is on the sale itself. The supplier has to pay it. The only way they can do so and maintain their profit margin is to charge the tax to the customer. It’s exactly the same in RL with VAT.
There is no ‘if the tax was slapped on the consumer’. The tax IS slapped on the consumer…and paid to the government via the supplier.
I hear some local community colleges offer free Econ 101 courses. Maybe you should take them up on it…
The inflation CCP is seeing is not from ISK printing
It’s a rather simple concept. The more you have of something, the less it is worth. So, when you print trillions out of thin air, whether it’s ISK in EVE or the USD in RL, you de-value the currency…
Why do people think ISK printing is the only cause of inflation?
People don’t think it’s the only cause of inflation, just the main one.
Why do people think its the main cause?
We’ve already told you a hundred times. I’m not about to make it a hundred and one…
You arent aware inflation can be caused by other things than ISK printing
I have a very simple solution to this. If you dont like paying the tax to list and you arent baking that tax to be covered by listing your product for sale. 1. You are marketing wronge. 2. Find a private buyer that you can sell it to where you wont pay hardly any tax. 3. List at private stations for lower tax/grind rep 4. If none of these help or are suitable dont produce things do something else. Others will produce if you dont like it.
With that kind of attitude there wont be many people doing anything in the game in the future. And thats fine i guess.
Many people are trading in the game just fine though.
That must be the 36% who responded yes
I know my entire corp of thousands didnt respond to the poll. Polls are seldom accurate as they often get ignored. Or not seen by the mass at hand. And i doubt that. Your one iny i have three more taking your place.
Why dont you share the poll with your corp?
