Mass Test on Singularity: Tuesday, May 19th, 2020

Resurfacing my comments from last year:

Jump Tunnel: still takes over player camera, this is annoying. But, adding the player’s ship for the eye to focus on, is an improvement.

But, WHY does my ship “speed up and move ahead out of sight, leaving ‘me’ (the camera) behind?” I (camera) would like to “arrive” with my ship. I had a focus point, but it goes off into the distance. It’s a disconcerting mix of 3rd and 1st person cinematics. The rest of EVE is viewed from a 3rd person perspective.

I don’t have a problem with the in-system warp tunnel and effects. I wish gate jump would work just like it, permitting player camera control during the process, centered on the player’s ship, with different (and nice!) tunnel effects, like the artists have done here.
