Meanwhile in Aridia

INIT RETURNS TO ARIDIA!

Earlier today, a dramatic battle took place along the Gallente border of Solitude.
The Initiative anchored a Fortizar near the Agaullores Stargate in Shirshocin, a bold action that drew many eyes from surrounding regions…

LowSechnaya Sholupen formed a powerful pirate coalition and attempted to contest the operation with Dreadnoughts and Leshaks. INIT was waiting.

As scores of INIT Dreads landed on top of LSH, the battle escalated into a scale rarely seen in the desolate region of Aridia. Over 460 Capsuleers were seen in system during the peak of the fighting. The Initiative Fleet of 260 starships annihilated all comers, holding the field, trading at an average of 8:1

Zaraevahr Intelligence believes this Fortizar may serve as a forward operating base, heralding the beginning of a larger campaign to cleanse Aridia of the pirate menace of LSH. Historically, INIT has conducted short campaigns to push LSH back away from their sovereign region of Fountain. INIT essentially annexed the Selonat and Maal Constellations years ago, exercising de facto sov, an act the Empire is unable or unwilling to rectify.

The consistent intransigence of LSH begs punishment.

Over the last few days, Zaraevahr have been conducting near daily strikes with small waves of remotely piloted attack craft in retaliation for LSH HISEC ganks, with little success.

This potential INIT deployment has buoyed morale. Zaraevahr is dramatically outnumbered and outgunned. Seeing LSH getting their just desserts is a dream come true.

Unfortunately, the INIT presence is not a friendly one. They are not allies, and veterans of Zaraevahr have not forgotten their hard won victory against INIT defending their hidden shipyards…
Zaraevahr will need to be opportunistic.
Things just got interesting.

BLOOD RAIDER SOTIYO DESTROYED IN SOTA

On Thursday, the Initiative responded to an assault on their Logistics Outpost in Sota by a Blood Raider Armada. While Blood Raiders are a constant scourge to this poorly policed region, this was an unusually high concentration of combat power. The Armada was highly organized, and possessed hundreds of warships. Their forward operating base was revealed to be a Dreadnought producing Sotiyo…

When the Initiative Response Fleet committed to battle, the Blood Raiders were waiting. A large battle ensued, with the Initiative trading nearly forty Muninns to destroy the Starbase. Numerous Blood Raider vessels were destroyed. The rest fled, harborless.
Zaraevahr contributed mostly symbolic damage with bombers, and attempted to loot the field with civilian light craft. The anticipated LSH intervention did not materialize.

It remains unclear what the Blood Raiders were attempting to accomplish with such a bold endeavor. Blood Raider activity is expected to ebb over the next few months, as they learn the consequences of drawing too much attention to themselves.

This engagement comes as Aridia and surrounding regions brace for a potential INIT invasion. The Initiative has been much more active this side of the cluster, specifically near Solitude and Syndicate. LSH structures have not yet been attacked and show no signs of unanchoring.
What will the Initiative do next?

Aridia Regional Update

Since the Initiative anchored a staging Fortizar in Shirshocin on the 12th of July, Aridia has been bracing for a potential invasion. With an accompanying Fortizar in Agaullores on the Gallente side of the border, many structures have fallen already. Over the past month, the Initiative has destroyed six Athanors, four Astrahus, and a Raitaru in Solitude. In Genesis, three Athanors and four Metenox Moon Drills were destroyed by the Initiative. Genesis has been particularly chaotic with the demise of No Forks.

And yet, no move has been made in Aridia…

Meanwhile, the Amarr Loyalists of Khimi Harar have been busy. Recent infrastructure upgrades reveal that Zaraevahr is beginning to truly thrive. Sources claim a major diplomatic/economic breakthrough is underway in Mayonhen.
Scouts continue to range the vast desert of Aridia, watching for signs of war to come…

Under Construction…

The polar region of Avada II is the site of an enormous construction effort, the largest in the history of the entire Mayonhen Constellation. Something is happening that will reshape the fate of the Ni-Kunni, and contribute to the enhancement of the Amarr Empire by extension…
Our only clue is an MIO airspace deconfliction request submitted by Khimi Harar for September 1st…

A NEW ERA

After weeks of suspense, the finale has been revealed.
The Lorzsa Corporation has announced Mishi’s first Trade Hub in Avada!
This massive undertaking is a joint effort between Lorzsa Corporation, GF Company, and Khimi Harar! Previously lacking any formal market economy, this development will radically reshape the Ni-Kunni Homeworld, and potentially the entire Region of Aridia. It further suggests improved relations and the possibility of peace between Khimi Harar and GF Company.
In an official statement, Prince Seraghis threw his full support behind the venture, remarking that he hoped to “…contribute to an environment where all can prosper”

The significance of this Freeport cannot be understated. The low security regions of the Empire have no organized market economy, and much of this space is lawless. A Trade Hub in Mayonhen would render the area an oasis set amidst an Interstellar Desert, potentially benefitting trade in other low security Imperial Regions such as Solitude, Genesis, Kor Azor, and Khanid space.

Apparently, every component of this Fortizar was sourced locally with domestic participation from Lorzsa Corporation, GF Company, and Khimi Harar. The final structure was rapidly assembled from prefabricated modules, suggesting that this was the work of years of preparation. It was important to all parties that this was done in this way, and the use of local vendors is sure to foster the business environment they wish to achieve.
The Lorzsa Corporation is preparing for legal challenges from the Wiyrkomi Corporation, who’s starbase was the previous site of all Lorzsa Corporation exports in Avada. Wiykromi Corporation is set to lose Billions in annual revenue from lost transaction fees…

To commemorate the event, Seraghis brought the Legendary Flagship Soliara and visitors from across the Empire for a massive fireworks celebration. The spectacle was open to the public, and visible from the Haimeh Stargate! Several locals were hospitalized for seizures…

Freighter activity has increased as inventories are transferred from local facilities and consolidated in the Freeport.
The Blood Raiders have increased their activity in response, deploying several forward operating bases, preying on local miners…Many Blood Raider attack craft have been destroyed by starbase defenses, but local ship losses have been high.

These developments come as rumors of increased activity from the Imperial Loyalists ‘Khimi Harar’ in Genesis and Kor Azor raise questions about the future of low security Empire Space. Daily raids have been reported in Genesis, and an enormous armada of Imperial Navy Prophecies was seen in Kor Azor…

It’s been a busy week for Zaraevahr in Aridia.

Avada Market Update
Local merchants continue to stock the shelves in the new Avada Freeport, as cunning minds plot ever more enterprising business ventures in the new Avada Freeport. To further stimulate the economic bloom, the renowned hauling company PushX has begun to service the Freeport! With regular runs in and out of Jita and the rest of HISEC, Avada is even better postured to become a major market hub in the region!

Brutal McDuck Retires
A long time resident of Tukanas in the quiet Helab Constellation, Brutal McDuck has announced his retirement. Brutal spent years in this quiet system alone against grave odds. Across the quiet desert of Aridia, we have come to know a few good men like Brutal, living a quiet life alone in the interstellar wilderness. Before he left, he bequeathed a substantial armada to Zaraevahr, knowing it would be put to good use. We wish him well

Kalumbian Estate Relocated
C A P S T E X T declared war on Khimi Harar in an attempt to attack the Kalumbian Estate in Mishi. In the past, the group has been known to prey on abandoned structures in Mayonhen from time to time. Unfortunately for them, the Estate was not abandoned, but in a state of decommission, and was relocated before the opening of CONCORD sanctioned hostilities. Zaraevahr conducted an impressive deep strike across the Cluster to assault the enemy War HQ head on…

Khimi Harar Quells Insurgency in Mehatoor
Earlier this week, Zaraevahr redeployed to the Warzone as Khimi Harar raced to suppress another Angel Cartel Insurgency in Mehatoor. Responding defense forces quickly secured the system before the Silk Road was again threatened. Lumen Loyalist forces committed to the defense assisted the Amarr Militia in the recapture of Uusanen as an opportunistic secondary objective.

Zaraevahr Destroys Anchoring Athanor in Ertoo

Early this morning, Zaraevahr issued a detailed statement celebrating a precision strike in Ombil Constellation. This successful operation was the first of its kind for Zaraevahr.

Everything about this operation was seamless.

One of the Explorers identified the anchoring Athanor in Ertoo. As desired, this report was promptly relayed to Intelligence and dissected. Analysts discovered that the Athanor belonged to a small one man operation, a victim of repeated HISEC wardecs. The icing on the cake was the subsequent discovery of a second Athanor destroyed in transit by LSH…where this second Athanor was intended is unknown.
Mammoth | Amelia Gallente | Killmail | zKillboard

Clearly, this corporation was unfamiliar with Aridia. LSH defend the spacelanes well, and destroy any foreign structures in their territory. It would only be a matter of days before this structure was located and destroyed. Prince Seraghis made the decision to destroy it first.

Zaraevahr sent a small force of 4x Stealth Bombers escorted by 2x Retributions as top cover. The strike force launched in the early morning hours on an otherwise peaceful Sunday. They made good speed, and arrived on target just before the engagement window.

The Squadron Commander expertly predicted the arrival of the freighter sent to fuel and online the Athanor. The freighter was ripped away from the docking ring and destroyed in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, the freighter was so loaded down with fuel in extended cargobays, that the entire cargo was completely vaporized. The quantum reactor core, the fuel, the crew…everything. Every room and corridor not devoted to crew quarters must have been flooded with fuel. Nothing remained of value to loot. The fact that this freighter even made it to Ertoo is shocking…

The stealth bombers began their assault on the now abandoned starbase, even fending off an attack by a random Thrasher at the cost of one Bomber. The unshielded starbase was quickly destroyed, and the task force returned to base in good order.

Prince Seraghis granted a bounty to the explorer responsible for finding this actionable target hoping to find future targets of opportunity even as he continues to train the Zaraevahr in the Bleak Lands…

                                  WAR!!

After nearly a year of preparation, the long awaited war has come at last.

This final day of September, Lowsechnaya Sholupen formally declared war on Khimi Harar in Aridia.

While Khimi Harar have lasted the longest of any other group in Aridia, open war with LSH was always an eventuality.
Even so, the announcement has stricken the constellation of Mayonhen. Civilians have already begun evacuating Khimi Harar starbases as local officials urge calm.

Neutral structures in neighboring Bazadod have also been marked for destruction.
Fortunately, the Avada Freeport remains unassailed for the moment. LSH appears poised to cleanse the region of all unwanted structures, following a recent and ongoing purge of POCOs across Aridia.

Why LSH chose this moment is not clear, but with the reduced threat of an invasion from Initiative, perhaps there was no better time.

Prince Seraghis made a defiant address to his Knights of Soliara, vowing to defend the Tet Hedu Ardanle to the death. A full mobilization has been ordered, and all personnel recalled to Haimeh for a valiant final stand. Seraghis has ordered “…every man, woman, child, pet, and slave” to “defend the walls with implacable vehemence.”

Even after a year to prepare, is Zaraevahr ready for such a fight?
Lowsechnaya Sholupen are war hardened, whereas the Zaraevahr are an entirely new organization created from scratch. Raw recruits are frequently shot down across Aridia by LSH. These losses have always been an understood, unwritten ‘cost of business’ while Zaraevahr continue to grow in the isolated Concord defended pocket of Mayonhen.
Khimi Harar have refrained from touching LSH structures up to this point, but daily attacks from LSH have developed a culture of rivalry.
Zaraevahr are reportedly ecstatic at the opportunity to fight LSH on their home turf, in their own timezone, without the threat of supercapital escalation…

Battle is expected as early as this weekend.
Stay tuned for updates.

 *****EMERGENCY BROADCAST*****
 WAR HAS BEGUN IN ARIDIA
ORBITAL EVACUATIONS ARE CURRENTLY UNDERWAY IN THE FOLLOWING STAR SYSTEMS:
 *SAZILID
 *HAIMEH
 *BAZADOD
ALL NONESSENTIAL PERSONNEL SHOULD EVACUATE PLANETSIDE IMMEDIATELY
 *****THIS IS NOT A DRILL*****

After days of suspense, Lowsechnaya Sholupen launched attacks across CONCORD protected Imperial Space. Damage reports are still coming in, but casualties appear to be minor.

In response to an attack on one of their starbases, a new local group from Bazadod (PUTTZ) deployed an artillery battery to the LSH war HQ in Zinkon. LSH Reinforcements from Vehan quickly scattered the artillery battery, inflicting minor losses.
LSH believed that the attack had been defeated, and that any further attacks would originate from Mayonhen Constellation, from which an attacking force would have to risk the infamous “Gauntlet” across the LSH home system of Hier, and through notorious systems like Sadana, Onanam, and Vehan to assault Zinkon on the Kor Azor border. Such an effort would be in vain against the legendary LSH supercapital fleet.

In an unexpected twist, a fleet of thirty Imperial warships appeared in Zinkon from Kor Azor!
Led by Prince Seraghis, this fleet had been secretly redeployed from Shokal following recent operations in Kor Azor.
Outmaneuvered, LSH withdrew to Vehan and harassed the Khimi Harar Armada with fighters PUTTZ returned in Marauders and joined in the assault until the shields of the war HQ began to fail.

Though largely symbolic, this sudden victory against LSH was desperately needed. Morale is enough to stave off desertion for now.

This is an unusually aggressive move from the Imperial Loyalist Alliance, Khimi Harar.
Prince Seraghis has made it clear that while they are NOT pursuing regime change against LSH in LOWSEC and currently has no plans to attack any other LSH structures, they will fight to the death to defend Khimi Harar structures in HISEC.
Seraghis is reportedly prepared to return to the original pre-war agreement of friendly rivalry, but insists that structure attacks are a redline.

Further battles over the next few days will determine how attainable those goals actually are.
