So you say everyone should get a participation medal including the ISK and other rewards of the same or almost the same amount as if they successfully completed the thing?
Ok, it took me a while but I found a Reddit AMA with CCP following the launch of filaments back in 2018. Here’s the critical part for your consideration.
People have been saying the high tier sites are unrunnable. What death to completion ratio would you consider to be balanced? Is there another metric you’re looking at?
We will definitely be looking at completion ratios and also drilling in to see what kind of fits are required, what enemy spawns are the killers, and of course looking at player opinion and feedback as well. We can’t put a specific number on expected completion rate but we want them to be hard so it won’t be anywhere near 100%. Someone just showed me some completion data from day one though and it looks like tier 4 success rate is around 80 and tier 5 success rate is around 60%, which both sound pretty healthy for day one.
Hopefully now we can finally put this one to bed: the high tier sites are, by design, not supposed to be 100% completed. They are hard to do, and there is no expectation that someone will be able to complete 100% of them.
I did it tho…i did not give up until i found it…I did…the one fit to rule them all…i don t think anybody knows about the combo…i don t think anybody has ever managed to do the death spawns in any fit like this…but i found the one fit…in this fit you can defeat the death spawns…and before anybody asks i will not ever share it or make videos about it…in any case…even if anybody did discover the fit there will be very few that can handle the pressure of defeating the „death spawns„someone that will try but is not made for this… he will brake…his hands will be shaking…he wouldn t know what to do next…and will die quick and with that being said they are not death spawns anymore.
“I have proof, but only ccp will see that I did it. Lowlife eve players aren’t worth my time to prove I did something impossible, therefore they just have to believe me when I say I did it”
I’m pretty sure if it was 100% where nobody would complete it and someone did, ccp would make a big deal out of it (like the recent world record breaker for visiting all systems)
Just to confirm then, all the malding above about unfair game mechanics and so on was just nonsense, right? Just needed some further research and testing?
