Losing a ship with no fittings is lazier than losing a ship to poor planning that had modules.
Plenty of time to shoot a ship coming out of dock when its UI hasnt finished loading and tank saves em on me pretty often.

Youre invulnerable for a bit (30 seconds I think?) after undocking, you literally cant take damage while youre still loading unless youre running like an early 2000s piece of crap
So to you 1.5m isk of tank is harder to do that buying a new PC?
Are you high?
Yep, you literally cannot take damage until you do, so no need to fit tank whatsoever.
Honestly all t1 haulers are death traps.
I still like using the T1 haulers with specialised cargo, even though I can fly BR and DST.
Wow, what a strawman argument
You dont need to buy a new PC to have invulnerability. If you do, stop playing eve and start online shopping cuz youâll have bigger problems with this game.
That is the one exception I forgot. My bad.
You are the one who created a strawman regarding loading times having anything to do with being killed on undock.
Maybe you need more time flying your space machine to understand the variables present in this game.
This sentence doesnt even make sense within the context, never mind the fact its gibberish.
Lets look back at your original statement
This is blatantly false. You canât do this. When you undock youâre invulnerable for a little while so your UI can load and stuff, so fitting tank doesnât save you from dying before you can react because you canât die before you can react. There will be basically 0 exceptions to this unless your PC is terribad (like 1 from the early 2000s) would be, and if so, get a new one.
You then said
If you actually are playing on an early 2000s PC, get a new one. If not, my statement doesnât apply so just do neither: Donât fit the tank and donât buy a new PC, because there is no problem to solve.
You are the one who said you can die before you finish loading, so itâs actually you who started this. Donât shift the blame when itâs very clearly you who started with a bad claim.
Iâve been playing for 3 years and have extensive experience hauling, where these sorts of things matter, I think I know damn well how undock mechanics work thank you.
Iâll always tank haulers according to hull and cargo value. If the cost is a few million and the benefit is an increased chance of avoiding a gank, why not do it? Ganks arenât always 100% success.
Then you clearly dont have enough experience.
You said;
To which I replied that it was easier to fit a tank than buy a new PC.
Which you called a strawman.
Its a literal response to YOUR strawmannic statement that only people with PCs over 20 years old get killed undocking due to black screening for more than 30 seconds.
Seriously put down the bong, kid, and get some time actually playing.
Empty modules slots ffs what is wrong with you.
I think pretty much any computer made after 2010 can load in time to let you react if EVE is the only thing running (even todayâs potato computer is better than something made in 2009 and who came up with term âpotato computerâ in the first place) but a potato computer might struggle if you tried to run EVE and another application. Not something like Skype or Mumble (small CPU requirement) but maybe a stream and suddenly potato computers are reaching their limit. I donât think this is a likely scenario (who would do these things without getting a good computer?), but since he mentioned the possibility of getting blown up before you can react even though you get a sessions change timer, letâs try to give him the benefit of doubt and say he was thinking of some unlikely scenario where his statement applies.
Ah yes, you need more than 3 years to learn how undock mechanics work. Go back to doing whatever you 8-year-veterans do to feel powerful over people who have been playing long enough to understand the game, but not as long as you.

It was an exaggeration, who the hell actually plays eve on a PC 20 years old so you can die on undock like that?
If you need to actually act on what I said, you shouldnât be playing eve because youâll have bigger problems elsewhere, like 2 FPS once youre in space.
Empty modules slots ffs what is wrong with you.
Who said leave empty module slots? Fit other things that are actually useful you idiot.
My god you really are a reactionary child. You should grow up a bit before attempting to discuss things with grown-ups.
It was an exaggeration, WHO THE â â â â IS PLAYING EVE IN A 20 YEAR OLD PC THATS SO BAD YOU JUST DIE ON THE UNDOCK!? WHO!?

My PC is perfectly capable of running EVE on highest settings without issues. Usually.
Yet I have encountered black screens upon undocking that lasted for minutes. You donât want that to happen while undocking in something valueable from Jita 4-4.
Whatever you do to protect your ship, ranging from insta-undock bookmarks, gatechecks, mwd cloak tricks, donât forget to also put some tank on your ship.
Sounds like something wrong with your PC then. Iâve never had that happen
Thereâs been something that Iâve wanted to ask you most times when Iâve seen you around on various Discord servers and now on the official forum.
Have you ever considered not being a dick?
Stick to the topic, you guys are free to start your own thread about if itâs possible to die while loading fi you want
We are the ones supporting your wish for better T1 tank, heâs the one saying you shouldnt be fitting one vOv
Also ask yourself why he and this one below are telling you that tanking an industrial is pointless.
