In case my investment was too cryptic in the above post, my feelings and somewhat forlorn hope for Mike’s representation are best expressed in the following post:
So for all of you here, Mike and the Magic Schoolbus are part of the inspiration for my own community, Eve Rookies.
Now, for those of you who feel Mike doesn’t “play” Eve, what you mean is he doesn’t play it the way you want him to play. It’s the same for those who claim I don’t actually PVP. That’s because apparently dragging 20 new players out on a null roam isn’t “playing” the way my detractors want me to play.
Eve is a sandbox and there’s a million different ways to play and feel fulfilled as a player. Just because someone doesn’t play the way you play doesn’t mean they don’t play. I’m 5000% sure I’m not “playing the game” by running these candidate interviews, interviewing players for Voices of New Eden or working my tail off to make sure my FCs have everything they need to run 100+ fleets a month.
So think about that next time you want to claim someone doesn’t play. No, they play. Just the way YOU don’t.
Anyways, let me get off my soapbox here (sorry Mike) and present to you the interview I had with Mike last week. It was tons of fun!

I really wish we had a council that would address the idea of using the components of Eve to play Eve rather than relying on 4 to 6 third party applications.

Ccp knew players would make stuff better than them. That’s why they allow third party tools and soon™ opening up the source code for eve online
