I’m trying to do a mission that wants me to mine for something named Augumene.
So, I’ve never heard of this mineral before, there is very limited info about it online (and is not listed on my ore chart), and I was unable to find any of it after searching several nearby high-sec and low-sec asteroids, there is none available for sale in Jita.
Where do you mine for this stuff or is this an invalid/broken mission? Was Augumene removed from EVE?
It’s in a site associated with the mission. You should have a button on the left of the screen, when undocked, to “warp to location” where you can mine it

You can also look for it in Contracts, people tend to sell their excess from missions.
It’s a mission-specific ore. Accept the mission and board your mission-appropriate mining ship. If you like, you can “track” the mission and it will put options on the left side of the screen (beneath where your route information is displayed, or thereabouts) for you to undock and warp directly to the rocks. Lock, mine them until they disappear, then dock back up at the appropriate station to turn in your mission.
I have had some missions bug out on me and not provide the rocks, in which case I’ve had to abandon the mission and re-accept it.
I have tons of mission-specific ore from using throwaway alts to mine L1/L2 missions, keep the ore, and abandon the mission.
I ended up with some spare augumene as well. I’m sure it’ll come in handy one of these days, just like the cords in my junk drawer and the scrap lumber pile in my dad’s garage.
