That window is still available, @Suki_Vokkonen . Rightclick the new mining scan button to see it.
Quantity and volume will be lacking from the list if your ship has no Mining Sensor Array equipped.

Just FYI the window has not been removed - it is still accessible if you right-click the Mining Scan button, then click âOpen Scan Results Windowâ. The table now has a new column with the estimated value too.
please look into the reactions side, i understand that itâs intended as a balancing mechanism if certain ores get too out of wack, but atm none of them are remotely viable, and only will become viable if at the low end, specific mineral prices increase at a minimum of 40%, some minerals wouldnât become a viable reaction unless they raised in price 300%, so the strength of this balance seems almost non existant.
How are none of them viable? How is that possible?
If I understand correctly the new ore can be refined in any sort of mineral at different rates.
I would expect the price of the ore to likely settle around the point of the best mineral to refine, so at all times at least one mineral should be viable right?
And whenever the market is lacking another mineral which then shoots up in price this ore should follow the price of that other mineral, providing a safety mechanism for the game against big single mineral shortages.
I would not expect this new random ore to be worth refining in all minerals, just into the current best ones.
Hello, I dont know how to say this!
Miners should not get crits by default. It should only happen if you mine in fleets with a boosting ship that has the Mining Sensor Array.
In other words mining crits should only happen with the proper fleet setup.
Thank you for reading
I am not sure they are even meant to be profitable.
As I have understand it, they are a way to access minerals you usually donât have where you live, so you save yourself imports and can still fill gaps in your production chain.
So you should put the time saved from hauling runs into the equation.
Adding a fleet boost for mining crits feels like a bonus or expansion, unlike giving crits to everyone by default.
The mining crits are so weak that theyâre not worth worrying about. Theyâre not even worth wasting skill points on. 1.5% yield increase overall? I think youâll be able to sleep at night knowing that miners arenât getting anything extra.
It seems that mining crits would be more meaningful if they could only happen if you had the right fleet composition. Everyone getting them by default seems undesirable to me.
For example if the Rorqual became the provider of mining crits then every miner would be excited to be in a fleet with a Rorqual. But i could be wrong.
I know this seems silly and a minor (miner?) thing, but while you are overhauling the mining missions, could you PLEASE bring back the Level 3 ice mission âStay Frostyâ? Although I never saw any patch notes officially removing this mission, I havenât pulled it in many years. I get that Alphas canât mine ice, but this should still be an option for those of us who Omega.
Also, please allow Outrider the ability to fit ice mining lasers.

You may want to reread the first post to know about how to âtestâ:
These ships will not be obtainable on Singularity and you will not be able to fly them in space. however, you will be able to simulate them and see an early version of their proposed stats and bonuses.
they are not doing anything with mining missions.
Let me help you. From Kestrels post above:
â and weâve also done a visual overhaul of level 1 through level 3 mining missions. Weâve also bumped up the LP and ISK rewards from level 1 and level 2 mining missions by 50%. â

Imo mining missions should prioritize salvaging hazardous space debrisâespecially pieces on collision paths or at risk of misuseârequiring careful dismantling and disposal. This is far superior to current mining missions that lack imagination and produces worthless fake ores.
Ps.
Visual overhaul and increased LP and ISK earnable from bad content is not going to make it better content!
Yes i am an optimist
visualâŚvisual means look better right? aside from that, nothing else changes with mining missions..
Weâve also bumped up the LP and ISK rewards from level 1 and level 2 mining missions by 50%.
So whatâs the definition of ânothingâ in the @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras dictionary? Post it here please and Iâll show myself out.

With the addition of new small mining ships, will the Ice Mining Laser restriction be expanded?
I can understand it if CCP does not want to make ice mining available to Alpha pilots in this patch, so perhaps not the Pioneer.
But can the T2 Outrider be added to this list?
It has three turrets for mining while it boosts. Iâd love to see it be useful for ice mining as well.
@Gerard_Amatin and I were discussing this on another thread, and it seems appropriate to include here. How about un-gating Ice Mining Lasers from Expedition Frigates? Ice Harvesting is an Omega skill, so why is a ship gate required? Allow us to fit ice lasers to any ship with a cargo hold big enough hold a block of ice. Endurance will still keep its massive advantage to ice harvesting, but it will allow for some niche setups - in keeping with the sandbox.

There seems to be an issue with the design philosphy. For example:
This site contains a brand new special ore type, and brand new mining gameplay
The problem is that its supposed to be exciting because its new? But how long is it going to be new? You know what i mean?
AFAIK salvaging and rigs was part of an expansion. This content has held up over time because it was developed to last and the selling point wasnt that âit was brand new wtf bbqâ. The whole point of this content was it was good.
So please emphasise on content being good rather than just new! I mean anyone could be a game dev if you just had to make new content and new games to make money. Gotta make good content and good games to make a difference. Maybe the brand new mining gameplay and brand new special ore type is actually good and not just new content.
Being able to turn this ore into whatever mineral you want isnât exciting to you? New mining ships arenât exciting? What would be if not?
