Ah then probably you triggered it. There’s a trigger chance showing on the top left of your screen that you shouldn’t let go to 100% or the fleet will spawn.

You can spam two tractors continuously and not trigger an NPC spawn. Three tractors will eventually build up, so you need to let the rift’s bar on the left side of the screen go back down before you fire your tractors again.

No, but I usually have all those notifications minimised because they take up too much room :slight_smile: .

On a second thought decoupling the ice mining lasers from Expedition Frigates may not be such a good idea.

It would be too easy for any ship with 4 turrets or more to outperform expedition frigates and even barges on ice.

A better solution would be to add ice mining lasers to the Outrider instead, if CCP wants the Outrider to also perform as a booster on ice.

here’s the thing I think mining should be in idle activity like fishing in other games with very low pay I’m glad it doesn’t require a lot of thinking it allows me to socialize with my friends and watch YouTube videos why I’m semi-paying attention to the game I never go fully AFK but it allows me to go partially it allows me to have something to do when I don’t have a whole lot of time to play the game either cuz I could stop it easily at any time

the main reason why this game has a botting problem a lot of activities are coming more tedious so people want to automate it so they don’t have to deal with it I think the solution is to make something more fun not more of a chore or a task to mark off on a checklist that’s why I don’t do PVE anymore after they add a drone aggro my desire to do it completely went out the window

enforcing mining to be an active activity is this going to get casual players to quit sooner than later

70% of Eve already feels like ■■■■ after playing it for 23 years cuz it hasn’t evolved well all their methods of altering game play to make it harder for bots made it harder for a normal people and all it did is maybe delay the Bots for by maybe a month or two why they they’re programmers found a new way to make them work with the new changes it’s not going to get rid of the problem it’s going to make more people go to it for a solution

a lot of changes have changed EVE from risk versus reward to tediousness versus reward it’s now about time versus reward the more time it takes the more you get the more you hate it the more you get

I wish there was more low brain power and low skill requirement activities to make money they don’t have to be good at making money they could be ■■■■ like maybe like 200 million in a day or something but require very low effort other than time

Using WoW as an example of other games, resource gathering, including fishing, is still a hell of a lot more active than they are in EVE. You have to fly around the map to find nodes, and then stay at the computer for a few seconds while the fishing timer clicks down, then click to collect the fish within like a second of the sound notification, then you have to fly off to find another node.

I’ve yet to find any other game where resource gathering is as brainless and boring as it is in EVE.

Is it the same people who designed Equinox that also responsible for this expansion?

still Eve online’s mining provides me an idle activity after doing a bunch of ■■■■■■■ shitty work all day I can sit down and relax and talk to my friends making a small amount of isk and EVE online turning into another task it requires a ■■■■ ton of micromanagement like ■■■■■■■ killing NPCs will ruin my ability to have an idle relaxing game to play and chat with my friends and also eliminate all methods of making revenue on eve online for me completely I enjoy

Over the years there have been put in efforts to merf the game. For example I wanted to find a high sec mission hub where I could reprocess loot and do some invention and research. But that is hard to find if you also want a low true sec.

But there has been put in effort so that lvl 4 mission hubs do not also have a good reoroccesing and or research facility. Why? Because in the eyes of the devs it makes more sense when there are little or no good stations compared to if there was many..

Then anchor an Athanor there. Since it’s a hub that can’t refine you’ll probably have plenty of players swinging by to reprocess their rat droppings, so you could even earn some money by setting a tax.

One does not simply anchor an Athanor. Not even in highsec. I wonder when that will be fixed.

Gankers don’t exploit wardecs.

If wardeccers are bothering you, try recruiting some members to your corp so you can contest the reinforcement of your structures. It’s what the corp mechanic is there for. Just, you know, engage with the content of the game you’re playing?

Are you saying it is intentional that someone pays a fee and he can kill your structure in high sec?

The feature would not otherwise exist. Your counterplay is to have some members in your corp so you can fight them off. Or pay someone else to drive them off, or just bribe them to leave you alone. There are any number of solutions you could pursue here.

Just anchor a well-armed medium POS. Nobody will wardec you for it. You can reprocess loot at every second nearby NPC station and both research and invention runs perfectly fine at a POS.
