Minmatar Ship Font Branding Guide

I was wondering if there was/is a brand guide our there for the font on some of the Minmatar Ships.

Examples:

  • Rifter: R1F73R
  • Probe: PR-OBE
  • Wolf: 111-0LF
  • Jaguar: JA9U-R
  • Cheetah: CH-BTA
  • Rupture: RU-7R3
  • Muninn: MU-NN1N
  • Broadsword: BR-SW0RD

There does seem to be some inconsistancys between the different letters and when to use one over the other. And as it its only on a few ships vs all ships its hard to know if there was an actual font guide/branding guide generated or if it was more of the Rule of Cool and what looked good.

Not sure what’s going on with the Cheetah (I can’t figure out the B), but everything else seems to follow the actual name with some variation of 1337 speak. Even the Wolf, because the 3 1s resemble a W.

Ch-bee-ta is pretty close to cheetah in pronounciation?

I don’t know what the deal is but it is a nice touch! By the way, anyone who knows a Mr Lin? :upside_down_face:
