Jokingly in some other threads it happened that
someone asked for a Marauder with the ability to move when in siege mode.
I just watched LORU getting blasted by 5 Black Ops Redeemer and an Apostle
I thought the only way for him to survive was to drop the Marauder siege module,
and start kiting near the Apostle, to avoid , or try at least, being tracked down by its massive guns…
And here that initial joke started making sense…
What if it was released a “half-siege” - “half-kite”, Marauders (and Black OPs too, why not… or something just for Black OPS, but similar in the characteristics).
It would boost only half what the current full siege module does ( restoring 50% boost to shield, armor, and hull plates, at least) but also increase the ship mobility
by 50% (Speed, agility, decrease the “bloom” caused by MWD, and halven the mass penalty for plates) and reduce the “halo”…
Combine the ship signature module with a new Marauders-Black OPS only module, that would allow for FASTER than normal movement, and give just a slight boost to Active shield or armor repper, and overall damage resistances.
Maybe a Triglavian - mixed, T2 BS only supermodule…
And do not restrain the possibility to only one module per type fit, so one
could switch from the “Augmented Agility, halo type” to the normal Full DPS and Tank siege one,
or alternate between the two if needed.
Both BLACK OPS and MARAUDERS has usually enough free HIGH SLOTS so TWO
special modules should be possible…
If not ready… just think about giving something like it to BLACK OPS only…
And maybe make one for the Odysseus too…
T2 BC really need something similar to scary away potential gankers…
