I think you’re reaching quite far with that, and it’s not really necessary. It was a perfectly good post (aside from this line, which takes away from the impartiality), and I doubt anyone’s going to have any major issues with it. If you posted like this more, and if you wanted to rib a forum rival, did it with wit and not the kind of hostility that makes you seem like an obsessed stalker, you’d be everyone’s friend, and not just of the 2-3 people that agree with you because your underlying play styles mesh.
What the watershed moment here should be, but if I had to bet money on it, probably won’t, is the realization that your reasons, intent, and sincerity behind writing this post are no different than mine were when I wrote my big post.
Here’s the thing, though: that’s not what’s going on here. At least, I can be certain of that with regard to myself, and one other poster. I don’t personally know a single ISD. In fact, I’m quite apprehensive that if major action is taken against anyone in this thread, I could very well get hit alongside major actors like you and Noel, who objectively (by own admission) deserve it, even though my stance has been predominantly defensive.
I try and have a laugh with them, but I wouldn’t expect or knowingly accept that informal relationship having any bearing when it comes to moderation.
I mean, yeah I’ve posted some stuff in the past that blatantly broke the rules and should have earned me a two week holiday at CCP’s pleasure but didn’t, nor did it get moderated in one instance.

Let me rephrase that: I am not aware that anyone I personally know is an ISD. Someone could be, but I have no knowledge of that, and am not operating on these forums with any sort of assumption of preferential treatment.
Also, I don’t want any preferential treatment, just like I don’t want anyone’s posts hidden or deleted (with the exceptions being personal attacks of a racist or sexist nature, or real-life threats/doxxing).
Well you obviously were not reading what was said above by that person, they found out why the forums are so bad and decided to go away.
But this was the killer:
In effect it does not matter whether the ISD are great, indifferent, or appalling or biased or not, the issue is that the majority of people are like you.
I also did a little test, I went and spoke to my alliance mates, twenty people, only one of them posted on the forums, I will get back to him in a minute, the rest of them do not go anywhere near the forums because it is not worth it and it is a dreadful place to discuss the game, they prefer to do it on Discord. The other guy only did it to take the hate on him to protect some innocents, but he just decided to stop doing it because hardly anyone new goes on the forums anyway.
Most players of video games don’t post on the forums of those games. It’s like that for any game. For the most part, it has nothing to do with the forums being “toxic” or whatever; most people just don’t care about forums, period. I don’t think it even gets to the point where “not worth it” and “dreadful place” are considerations. If I ask a friend why he won’t post on the forums, the response is simply “who gives a ■■■■?”, and not “who gives a ■■■■? it’s not like they’ll listen to me anyway” or “who gives a ■■■■? the place is too full of toxic jackals.” Yes, there will be some exceptions where people don’t like forums for very specific reasons, but mostly people don’t care because they’re too busy playing the game.
Yes, I do. The question of whether or not the forums are acceptably active due to toxicity (and by effect, insufficient moderation) is a valid one, so I really don’t see your point there.
